Update1: Pro - This unit allows you to change the Bluetooth name. That's not something I have seen on many devices. - If you add some black tape you can make the flat-mount adapter fit into a DVD/CD drive slot and it stays in pretty well. Cons - The screen does get a little washed out in the bright sun while you're wearing polarized sun glasses. It's still viewable enough so I see no reason to remove a star for that. - The auto-brightness features seems to only work with screen mirroring, not with Android Auto. It seems you have to manually adjust screen brightness. Other reviewers have mentioned this. - The suction cup is weak. I had to apply some "tacky" water soluble glue to keep it attached, but it does not stay reliably (see above) All in all, still happy with the purchase. - Original Review - This is a review for the lower end version that is not a full Android tablet. It cost me about fifty bucks total after coupon savings. I got this unit for my 2011 Mini Van. It's a nice way to bring Android Auto or carplay into an older car. These are my initial pro/con impressions. I will update as I use it more: Pros: It's a reasonable size. Some may think a larger screen better but this one does not block too much of the dashboard. It boots fast. I can get to an fully functional Android Auto screen in about 20 seconds or less after starting the car. I tried with two Android phones and it connects fast with both. It seems to favor the last connected phone. Super bright and very visible screen. At this price I expected a low quality LED screen but viewing angles are fine. It supports Apple Carplay but I have not tested it yet. Supports auto brightness but have not tested it yet. Supports Apple Airplay. Not tested. Built in media player Comes with a 64GB SD card but it's a generic brand. I would not trust it with your data. I did not test it. It has a little hood to block the sun. Comes with both suction mount and a screwable panel mount. Audio from the Aux port seems good enough. Audio from the built in speaker may be good enough for GPS. Cons: It supports Android wireless display but it requires some sort of proprietary app from China to mirror the screen. I did not trust the app so I did not test it. This is not a big con because most people will just use AAuto and Carplay. The cords plug in to the left side, which blocks more dashboard. It would have been better to have cords plug in from the bottom. Suction cup is a bit small and slips easily. I had to use a washable tacky glue to keep it attached. It has a floating widget on the screen to get to the home screen, brightness and audio settings. It would have been better to have a button. The widget can get in the way of the Google maps soft mute botton. The FM transmitter for radio based audio is too weak. Stations and static come through it, but I see this problem with almost every FM based system I ever tried in my area. So far I'm very happy with this purchase. Touch sensitivity on the screen isn't the best but the brightness and clarity is really good, and every thing else is great! Ordered this for my son. It looked great until we turned it on and the green was pixelated like it had been dropped or something. We’re sending it back to Amazon. updated rating. The seller reached out to me and sent me another system, a better one for free and it is absolutely wonderful. The only thing is it wont stick to my dash and I had to get some double sided gorilla tape for it to stick. I had no idea using one of these was so easy. My 2014 Subaru has a very tiny screen and no car play. My wife's new car has it built in on her Toyota. I think this touch screen is actually more responsive than hers. The only quirk is it starts up and plays audio for a few seconds then mutes the audio on the car speakers, but unmutes when you turn the volume knob. ... show more

All of the features are great, this is a great idea. However, the touch screen becomes unresponsive after a few minutes. The only way to correct it is to power it off. It could be the one I received so your milage may vary. I'm returning mine. Update: The seller contacted me 2x's trying to get me to go to their website for $30 extra plus the refund. This review is for the 7" version, based solely on Android Auto experience. I have not used Apple Carplay with it. During a call, Android Auto hijacks the phone app, making this device's microphone the sole bluetooth audio input you can use. But this device's microphone is very bad, almost unusable when there's any road noise on the highway. It won't let you switch to another bluetooth headset, either on this device or on phone. Touchscreen sensitivity also gets worse around the edges of screen. Overall, it's a nice device for map and spotify, just not for phone calls. ... show more
