  • Powerful, clear sound in a relatively small package
Rated at 600 watts at 2 Ohms, my test sheet shows 726 watts of total output. Pretty good! This is a no-frills amp- no subsonic filter, no clipping light, and the bass knob is extra, but it's easy to set up, mostly. It doesn't have speaker inputs, so you have to get RCA adapters. The most important thing this amp has is clean, powerful sound. It does not color the bass like some amps do. I had 2 other amps in this general wattage range- the first sounded weak and kinda flat, and the other made my sub sound muddy. The Alpine just gives strong, unfiltered bass to my IDMAX 12", and really made it come alive. And for the current price, it's impossible to do better. I've had Alpine amps in the past and liked them, so I'm not sure why I strayed. But I'm glad to be back in the family because the sound quality is top notch. *edit* For a tuning tip, get your gain and x-over set to where you like it, with the bass boost at zero. I then turned the bass boost up 1 notch, and reduced the gain just a tad, and that really made my older music come alive. Give that a try if your music from the 80's and older doesn't kick like the newer stuff does. ... show more

  • Works Well
It did not disappoint. It works with high power, especially if you enjoy loud music and with bass. Provides a great sound system. Easy to use with remote control. does not over heat so far so good. It is worth the purchase!

  • Great clean reliable power
Small dense and strong. I have this Amp at 2ohms running 2 JBL 10s. and it's very peppy. For me, the gain in the center (with a small detent in the knob) was right before clipping. I checked this with a picoscope and the wave looked great. Remote seems like a decent piece and a nice touch. For the price point, and the name, it's an easy choice. Never skipped a beat on our long road trip either. ... show more

  • Overheats really fast
Gives good sound but overheats and goes into protection mode too fast

  • Great bang for buck
Paired with a single alpine 12" type S sub, in a ported box. It pounds much deeper and louder than I expected. Very happy with purchase.

  • Good pumper
Hook it up! Thumps hard. Easy install and a hell of an amp In my opinion. Mine is hooked up to 2x Rockford Fosgate 12’s in a bandpass box and it thumps hard at only 1/4 gain.

  • Tiny but powerful!
Super high quality feel to this amp. Barely takes up any space. Pushing a 12" alpine type S in a sealed enclosure. Gain and bass boost are turned up about a quarter of the way and it's pretty obnoxious. Seems like it's capable of going a lot wilder if I want to!

  • Favorite small Amp ever!
I've had this Amp for years now, and it has not failed me! Since it's out in the open in the back of the hatch, no temp spikes or over voltages get to it. It maintains constant power to my speakers and sub with clipping sounds through the volume ranges. Just make sure you build for the specific voltages and this Amp will not fail you. ... show more
