I've seen some people have bad experiences with this. It's probably either bad luck with a defective product, or they are wiring something incorrectly. Sure the materials used are cheap, but for this price I expect that. The volume knob does feel cheap but it works. The touchscreen hasn't had any tracking or sensitivity issues yet. It's accurate and responsive. The sound quality is good. I also have subs hooked up to it and those work fine as well. It took me like 10 minutes to wire everything together with a wiring kit I purchased separately. No sound issues so far. Carplay and bluetooth works great. No issues there. Haven't hooked up the backup camera yet. I might not. I don't really need one. But if I do i’ll update the review. (1 year Update!) So I've had this installed for about a year now. Never got to installing the backup camera. The front USB port is in a bad spot for me. I keep kicking it with my knee which made it come loose. It now is a bit iffy with the front USB but I can just hook it to the rear USB for Android Auto and Apple Carplay. Again, it may feel cheap, but it's held up so far other than that USB port. But if your headunit is higher on your dash you shouldn't have the problem of kicking it. Sound quality is decent but if you turn the volume up too high it does get distorted. Over all, id say it's a good headunit to just get you Carplay or android auto until you can save up for a name brand like Kenwood or Alpine.     • Cheap for a reason, RUN AWAY.

Stay far, far away if you care at all about your hard earned money. Probably the worst investment I’ve ever made; doesn’t work as advertised, the Apple CarPlay cuts in and out every half hour, especially when I’m on the highway. While writing this review I’ve attempted to connect to CarPlay via USB 3 more times and still nothing, it just says connecting for 2 seconds and takes me back to the main screen. On top of this, whenever God bestows a miracle upon you and allows you to connect to CarPlay via bluetooth, the audio is delayed by 4 SECONDS. Also, whenever I get in the car I have to immediately turn the volume knob down because if I don’t, I will go deaf. Allow me to explain. The preset volume is at 20. TWENTY. Absolutely insane. Imagine waking up in the morning and getting in the car to head to work only to find that your ears have begun bleeding. Setting it up is stupid complicated, its appearance is not at all appealing, the touchscreen is not at all responsive, and it’s just overall a bad product. The only reason why I’m giving it even a single star is because of the usefulness of Apple Maps with the CarPlay, and it’s not even a high five for this company, it’s a high five for Apple. Don’t walk, RUN away from this product. Good luck making sure the fitment is correct for your car because 3 other true-to-size head units fit nicely, but this “true-to-size” piece of actual garbage is smaller than advertised. STAY. AWAY.     • Stereo and remote work great, steering wheel remote does not work

Used in a 2002 Honda CR-V. The unit was easy to install. I recommend buying a wiring adapter for your vehicle to make the connection; there are some wires the stereo has that my car didn't need and the adapter made it a snap to get the wires hooked up correctly. I didn't wire up the backup camera because I didn't feel like it. The provided bezel didn't fit and the unit itself was a very snug fit that required a little force to get it to seat. Otherwise the install went well and for a 22 yo car I'm not concerned about a little gap around the edge of the unit. The square remote worked fine once a battery was installed. The steering wheel remote doesn't appear to work. There are instructions in the manual for the square remote but absolutely no mention of the steering wheel remote. I have no idea if the steering wheel remote needs to be paired somehow or it's broken. It would have been a nice touch for that to work because then the 22 yo car would have that same functionality my two newer cars do. Overall though, I think it was a good purchase. ... show more

    • Best affordable capacitive touch screen

This is one of the few capacitive touch screen head units under $100. Most of the cheap units have pressure touch screens and are very limited as far as screen mirroring goes. With android mirroring you can control your phone from the head units screen. I thought my head unit was defective at first because I couldn't get it to link up to the car when screen casting. Turns out I wasn't in de-bugging mode, and my cheap cable wasn't transmitting a clean signal. Once I changed the USB cable and put the phone in de-bugging mode it worked perfectly. The unit is the same size as a double din space, but if you have an adapter face plate to match it to your car it's going to be tight on the side buttons and volume knob. I had to use a Dremel to carve a little half circle in my adapter plate so the volume knob cleared it. Another issue I ran into is that The face on my unit is recessed behind the adapter bezel and the little I.R. receiver is partially obscured from the transmitter on the steering wheel controller if I mount the remote low on the steering wheel. It's line of sight control, so mounting it on the upper half of the wheel points the base of the hand control at the head unit and I get much better reception. With a little fiddling I resolved any issues I had with the unit. I wasn't expecting much for the price I paid, but I'm very pleased with what I got. It looks like a factory installed unit and has modernized my 10 year old car. ... show more

The power output was too low and can not listen to music or sounds over volume level 8 (which is really low out of 30) plus the options for setting on brightness, memory, connectivity. However, the use and ability for Apple car play 8/10 times does it work flawlessly and great.
