Worked out great on my garage personnel door. Bought the 80” (2 panels, 3 arms) version but there are no instructions on how to connect a second panel so I had to get creative. Instructions are only for a single panels version. Have some water leaking past their gasket material and where the gutter connects at the 2 panels so will likely seal this up later. Packaging was really pathetic, ripped to shreds and aluminum arms were scraped up bad. Would have given 5 stars if not for these issues, looks good though. ... show more

This is a really nice product but it is useless if they don’t send the rubber seals and small screws with it. I expected the instructions to be of little use, but they were missing also. All I received were the three (first class) aluminum support brackets and two sheets of Lexan. I did not expect concrete anchors or fasteners to attach it to the wall but you don’t get those either. I could have made it work, BUT if you don’t have the rubber seal to waterproof the joins between the alu and the Lexan, it will leak like a sieve with the first rain (or snow). The product was DOA when it came out of the box. I had to send it back because they will not ship any missing parts and I had to buy a (inferior ?) competitor. The other issue was that the admiral didn’t like the color of the support brackets. “ Champagne” is actually a greeny brown, sort of cammo color. So if greeny brown is not going to fit your color scheme, you may want to pass. ... show more

We needed a sturdy awning over the back door that would stand up to wind, rain & snow. This awning with the aluminum brackets and solid polycarbonate sheets is the answer! Okay, the included instructions are clear as mud. But after watching a few videos on Youtube and coming up with a couple of tricks of our own, the installation went very smoothly and quickly. Took my husband and I about 2 1/2 hours from start to finish. Handy hint...when installing the rubber sealing gasket around the sheet, use good quality masking tape to hold it in place until you are ready to put the sheets into the brackets. Then carefully peel off the tape as you work the sheet into the bracket grooves. We also used a ratcheting strap (carefully) to hold the unit together as we lifted it into place, as shown on one of the Youtube videos and that worked great. the instructions are garbage but I found videos that helped. then it's easy once you know the order things fit together. Very nice looking! I will update when they've been up for a little while. Update: It’s up! Looks good. Just make sure your wall width is enough for the expansion screws to turn into. If this can handle our weather I will be getting more. ... show more

For the cost, this is what I needed above my outside door and plan to buy again to put above a window. You can't rely on the video for help on the installation. Example, it does not show or say the distance to or from each other as to where to drill the holes. I ended up with two 1/4" holes in the wrong place. I saw in the video and other reviews that one person could do the install. I could not. Using the supplied bolts to secure it to the house would not work for me, I ended up using 3" lag bolts and don't see it blowing away anytime soon. Do yourself a favor and measure five times before drilling once and grab an extra person for lifting and fitting. Just a side note, after you finish installing it, go back and watch the video again for a good laugh. ... show more

I needed an affordable yet quality awning for my french door to the back of my house. I was concerned about whether or not this awning could withstand our stormy weather in GA, but so far it has and the door doesn’t get as saturated as before. And the awning is very fashionable.
