I've used this rack for about 3months on my Toyota RAV4 with two Cannondale bikes (42lbs each). What I like: - Easy to assemble - Seems very heavy-duty and stable. - The screw-in hitch pin and additional hitch stabilizer greatly reduces any wobble...very effective. - Has a long enough tube length from my trailer hitch that insures no contact between bikes and the back of my vehicle. - Although I'm a bit uncertain about the velcro tire straps, they're very good quality and I've had no issues - The manufacturer followed up with a feedback email that resulted in a very positive dialogue about a couple of things on the rack that could be better. I was impressed with the follow-up. - I did a fair amount of initial research and don't think you can beat the price point for a bike rack of this quality...it's a very good deal for the money. I'm very pleased with the rack. What I don't like: - The review comments regarding flimsy foam j-hook covers are correct. With that said, I went to a local hardware store and bought a couple of 1ft lengths of 5/8" heater hose. I pulled off the existing foam padding, and with a little silicone grease and twisting, successfully installed my replacement hose. It's been very secure with no movement or issues. I let the manufacturer know about it on a feedback email that he sent. He advised they've now modified the j-hook padding to be much better 👍 - If you need to slide the top j-hook off the vertical bar to mount your bikes, you'll be frustrated by a metal rivet at the top of the center post that makes it difficult to completely slide off the hook without taking the hook-bracket apart. The upside of this is that it keeps the hook from siding all the way off. Downside is that at least in my case, it makes bike mounting a bit more difficult. I also advised the manufacturer about this, so they may be working on a solution. For me, it's not a show-stopper...just annoying, and in my opinion easy to re-engineer if they choose to do so. ... show more

    • Outstanding bicycle rack love it but I struggled with the instructions.

The rack is great and I do recommend it but I do not understand why they can not just put a www.intructions for the particular rack on the instructions sheet. What could have been an hour or so to put together turned into about 4 trying to figure it out in 95 degree heat. This after spending 4 hours of installing a tow hitch in the same heat and they did not have good instructions either. I recommend buying it because it is a really good rack but first call them and see if they can make a video of this specific rack and how to install it. There are videos on youtube of other racks that they have and you can kind of figure it out from them but it would be nice if they had this one too. It takes a minute to put together. This rack is very sturdy and a bit heavy. It does the job of carrying 2 heavy e bikes. Biggest issue is the clamps that hold the bikes down need to be taken on and off each time one loads or unloads the bikes, so about a 5-7 minute hassle there. I'm guessing this is one aspect that differentiates it from the much more pricey racks. Overall good value for the money. ... show more

I just received and assembled this bike rack for our RV. The assembly was a snap and it is virtually idiot proof. The directions are very EASY to follow. The only thing missing was how to attach the external clamp between the rack tube and the receiving hitch in the directions, but I saw the video and it was pretty clear. This is a very well thought out and executed design. Hats off to the designer and manufacturing even though it is from china. The one thing that really got my attention is the anti jiggle clamps that tightens the entire assembly into the socket of the receiving hitch from the inside and bottom. Great idea! This hitch is so well designed I am contemplating mounting my collapsible flag pole to it later. Highly recommended! This review is from a retired tool and die maker/engineer. ... show more

The bike rake is very sturdy and locks into the receiver of the hitch perfectly. However, when we used the rack the first time with our brand new e-bikes the rubber on the antler bars fell apart. Please see the photos. The bikes were strapped down securely to the rack. The paint on both of ours bikes was scratched off exposing the metal of the bike frame. Pretty disappointing. ... show more

Easy to install. I like how I can leave bike rack on and tilt it towards vehicle when driving. On the 4 Runner, I cannot access back door with rack up. I used the rack during my vacation. I noticed the rubber on the lock (curved like a cane) rubbed off and caused it to rub metal-on-metal. This caused damage to my new e-bike. Had to replace the rubber covering. ... show more
