I originally received this product 3 years ago and it worked well. The dog we were using it on wasn’t getting along with our current dog so we had to re home him. Didn’t need the GPS coller for our current dog he always stayed close to home. Stuck it in a box and stored it. Just got a new puppy so I though I would dig the collar out and charge it to get ready to use it this spring and it was completely dead, wouldn’t take a charge. I contacted the company and offered to pay for new batteries, it really didn’t surprise me that they were dead after sitting for 3 years. It took quiet a while to figure out to work the unit, the set up is not easy and the instructions are not clear. Once I had it set up I couldn't get the shock to work, the beep and vibrate were fine, but my dog ignored those while I was training her. I did the test for the shock with the included meter, and there was no activity. This continued to be a problem until, keep reading Then after the battery was empty on day 2 already, I reset the whole unit again, and this time the shock worked. It worked right where I had set up the center of the diameter. It shocked my poor dog while she was sitting right where I had set up the unit. I checked the controls and they indicated it was set for the 30 meter radius. I then took the unit off the dog and put it on my desk about 10 feet away from where I set up the radius. Even there after a while it started signaling that I was going outside of the 30 meter radius. It continued to do so until I turned the unit off. Would I buy it again? No. I will try the free replacement unit and see if the one I have is truly just malfunctioning or if there is an overall problem with this collar. I was given a refund today. They changed their mind about sending another collar. The communication with the service department was good and fast. ... show more

We purchased this to use at a second farm property as an alternative to in ground system like we have at our primary residence. It was easy to set up following the enclosed instructions. The pro is that there is no additional installation required - just set up the collar and train your dog over a few days. Ours seemed to catch on fast since she was used to the in-ground system/collar that she wears every day. The cons are that you have to remember to charge every night and also remove when your pet is in the house if you have spotty GPS coverage. Any time the collar runs out of battery power you have to reset center point location. We used ours intermittently for a year and then one day it wouldn't power up any longer. I contacted the seller and they immediately sent us a replacement with no drama. It was very much appreciated - they will stand behind their product and do the right thing. ... show more

UPDATED - Excellent Customer Service! The collar purchased a few months ago has worked very well with our dog and we’ve been very happy. A couple of weeks ago, however, it starting losing its GPS pinpoint. It would activate inside the set zone and go off. I would reset it but it would still go off inside the set zone. This happened several times. Wiez was contacted about it and I received a response within an hour that Wiez would send a replacement collar free of charge. The fast response and free replacement was very much appreciated. Great customer service!! Great Product- Has Really Helped! This collar has helped so much with our recently adopted dog and keeps her close to home! She is high energy and is always running around but would go too far. She had developed a bad habit of going off to nearby neighbors and roaming deep into the woods and then started following cars and delivery trucks out to the main road where she could be hit. We live about a quarter mile off the main road. I purchased the Wiez GPS and it works GREAT! Set up was easy, just follow the directions provided. It is set at 100 meters and that setting gives her plenty of room to play and roam through the woods chasing squirrels but staying within sight. Battery life is good and usually lasts about 12 to 15 hours. She sleeps in at night so it is recharged overnight. We do turn it off at night about once a week so we can reset it the next morning with the satellites. We live in a wooded area with a pond and there seems to be no problem with water or the GPS connection with the satellites despite the trees. At the beginning, I started out with all three modes, beep, vibration and shock ( level 4 ). After a couple of weeks I turned off the shock mode since it isn’t needed now. She quickly learned her limits and her area and stops immediately when it beeps and vibrates. I would definitely recommend this product! ... show more
