I bought two different versions of a tie out stake like this. I received this one first and I was happy with the quality. The screws have deep ridges to help hold them in the ground. I didn’t realize I would get a socket bit, so I was happy to not have to dig one out. I have hard packed dirt and the stake felt super secure, and I was reasonably confident it would hold my stupidly strong dog. Even though he’s only been on it once, I did notice that the metal is dented where the ring hit the side when he pulled hard. I will have to keep checking to make sure it’s secure. Overall, I was happy with my purchase. Then my second one came (the black one in the photos). It’s plastic and metal. The ball bearing thing is half the size. Even more noticeable is the screws, which seem more like tent stakes. So for that reason, I’m returning the other and buying a second of these. ... show more

About a month ago I mounted this to the side of my shed about 2 feet off the ground, using my own 2 1/4" bolts instead of the 7 3/4" bolts that came with it. I was only able to use 3 of the 5 holes when mounting due to where I mounted it on the shed. I have a husky that occasionally give this tie-out a good tug. This thing has worked wonderfully and I've never had a concern with it coming out. The swivel design is really nice and allows my dog to roam all over the yard. I have never had a prolem with the swivel locking up or getting caught on anything. When mowing, it's not difficult to pull line line in and set it off to the side. I highly recommend this if you plan on mounting it to a sturdy structure. ... show more

This 360 degree dog swivel is one the strongest i have purchased and am pleased with the product. They must not have gps at Amazon when delivering anymore though. When i purchaded this item was litterally a hour and a half away from my location at a fullfillment center. I was supposed to get this on 09/21/24. But somehow they managed to put it on another truck and ship it over 200 miles south of me. No problem with the product but get your drivees some gps devices. ... show more

Item rated for 1000lbs and my Rottweiler put this to the test and the dog won. This is a solid product if it hasn't rained. Easy to install with drill and socket. Rottie tested it to the max and this didn't budge. WARNING: IF IT RAINS AND YOU HAVE A BIG DOG, DON'T USE IT UNTIL GROUND DRIES. After a good rain we connected the dog to this and shortly after, she saw a deer. She took off in a full sprint and ripped this right out of the ground. After finding her in another neighborhood pulling a 50' lanyard and this anchor attached, surprisingly there's still 3 screws that didn't fall out. She ran through the woods to the other side through a neighborhood. I wanted to laugh so hard but fighting not to die from breathing so hard chasing my effing dog. See the picture and notice she bent the 1/4" steel base. If you have a dog like mime, it would be advisable to buy 3x 12" screws and alternate them with the screws it come with. I tried contacting the seller to get 12" screws but got the stupid bot so returned for replacement and I'll buy the 12" screws. I hope this helps. ... show more
