    • Good product for the price but not amazing, gets the job done decently.
It works okay but it is a bit on the small side. Most russet potatoes will not fit entirely. I find myself having to cut most potatoes in half or at least slicing one end of it off to make the potatoes fit. I haven't measured it but I'm approximating that it can accommodate about 4"-4.5" and even then pushing it does take quite some force. This is with normal russets so I'm pretty certain that it will not work with sweet potatoes. Pros: - Gets the job done. - Affordable. - Interchangeable grid sizes. Cons: - Small potatoes only. - Relatively hard to press. - Smallest grid is still a bit big, wish they had an even smaller size. ... show more

Don't know how they found such a tiny model to make it look bigger but this gadget is ridiculously small. You can use only the smallest of potatoes so, of course, that means your fries will have to be pretty short. You can, I suppose, quarter your potatoes lengthwise first but then what's the use?

When my husband first bent a blade, I thought it was user error. Then we tried to cut a sweet potato and (though it fit fine in the small space for the potato, we could NOT get it to pass through the blades and it kept popping off the counter even though we secured the suction cup well. We had to pry it off the blades and risk cutting ourselves. When we ran into the same issue and had issues with the plastic block misaligning and being cut by the blades, I gave up. This works really well, easy to use, and it's sharp so cuts through the potato easily. I think this is best used with a potato like Yukon gold because they are smaller. I first used russets and had to cut about an inch off the end to get it to fit. I had bought another one that didn't work nearly as well. Great product and especially for the price. ... show more

Before purchasing this product, making fries were a nightmare. The time I spent to try to make the perfect fries were overwhelming, not to mention the risk it took as well because I’m so clumsy. NOT ANYMORE! Westmark’s French Fry Cutter is definitely one of the best items I have ever bought since Amazon became commercial. The product is so easy to use and the cut on the fries are even and are perfect lengths. One of the reasons why I was reconsidering buying the product was because many reviewers said that the potatoes were hard to cut, but I did not encounter this issue whatsoever! As long as your potatoes aren’t the size of mountains, making fries will be a new hobby for you.
