  • Received a superior product
Color: Yellow Stripe
Above and beyond in customer service. They went the extra mile to replace a guitar I received that wasn't up to their standards. The second guitar I received was beautiful. Had no issues out of the box and was amazing quality. Action was set just right. Strings where a comfortable height from the body. Intonation was pretty close on all strings. Neck came straight which was a shock given the long journey it had in shipping. Inlays looked excellent. Frets where rounded and didn't catch on your hands Sounded great out of the box which had good padding. Fit and finish had zero flaws. Hardware was pretty good quality. Highly recommend to any guitarist of any experience. You'll like it regardless of how many years you got on the strings. Will look forward to purchasing more in the future. West Creek really is top notch and look forward to seeing what they do in the future. ... show more

  • Love the guitar but the setup was not good. The RACER is a better guitar.
Color: Red & White Stripe
Love the guitar but the setup was not good. I did intonate and changed the strings. It is not as good as the RACER which I gave 5 stars.

  • DO NOT PURCHASE - BUYERS BEWARE
Color: Yellow Stripe
I have purchased many inexpensive guitars under $230 and all of them were far far far better in fit and finish and hardware and electronics. Too many things to list wrong with this guitar. I’ve been playing 45 years and know what I’m looking at and playing. Again. Many other guitars at this price point are far better. Uneven, staggered frets that do go to the end of the fretboard. Not one fret. Neck not aligned properly. Blemishes in the finish throughout. Chipped edges at bridge and pick ups. Pick ups will not raise or lower and are the muddiest, squishiest sounding things ever. Neck profile is whatever they decided to do. As it has no rhyme or reason. And is too fat and inconsistent and uncomfortable. Buyers beware. The discounted guitars they are selling are probably returns from all of us. They will try and sell these for less as they have issues that need a lot of work to fix. Mine is serial number 68, so under 100. I feel it was a return that was sent back to me at a discounted rate. Maybe the higher numbers they have figured it out but I doubt it. Look at Leo Jaymz, Zuwei, Ivy, GFS and so many others that are way better quality for the same price. ... show more

  • Good guitar, but.
Color: Red & White Stripe
It is a really nice guitar except it goes out of tune a lot, that is why I gave it 4 stars.

  • Buyer beware
Color: Red & White Stripe
So many issues. Wanted to love guitar but… 1. Frets aren’t usable due to lack of quality control. Every fret itself wasn’t even close to being cut to fit guitar properly. 2. Pickups can’t be adjusted without mod 3. No tools such as tremolo bar or even a wrench to install said arm or adjust the truss rod were included. 4. Finish is so suspect I think I must have been shipped another customers return guitar. I don’t expect perfection on finish for a budget guitar but this was very substandard. 5. Lastly, this brand new guitar, recently released, is almost $70-80 less expensive on eBay for a used version. Really, already on eBay?? I guess I’m not the only one disappointed in this guitar I truly wanted to love. I was going to reach out to company but good luck finding a site for contact info. • Returned a GRG and got this, glad I did.
Color: Red & White Stripe
The media could not be loaded. TL:DNR- Westcreek has gone far and beyond what you would expect for a budget instrument, the attention to the smallest details means you get a lot of guitar for a little money and this guitar will easily go toe to toe with models costing much more. Quick back story. been around music my whole life, 15 years ago I mangled my L.Hand, the end, sold off everything and forgot about it. Nov '23 bought a beater at a garage sale "just to see" and i have been hoarding budget gear since to get restarted cause I sorta can. Time to upgrade the guitar, but there's no way I can afford what I want right now. So I got a cheap GRG7 to learn 7 string as well, 2 for 1 deal I thought. Absolutely no one expects a prestige level guitar for $300 but in my search this tier feels like the branding is more important than the wood quality and it's no wonder so many cheap guitars have a sterile flat tone. The GRG was fully functional and played decent but overall quality was depressing for me (the grain in the neck looked like a home Depot 4x4 knots and all) and I found it odd a full scale 7 string weighs about 3 lbs less than this little 6 string beater laying here. So back it went and here we are. Having already played with a couple of off brands (Ktaxon,Donner, firefly) and being mildly impressed for the price point I took a shot on this. The way the photos are taken does this thing no justice at all and it is much more impressive in person, the pattern really stands out without being too flashy and the hardware looks sharp. Nice flowing contours on the body and the edges are slightly rolled so it doesn't have that square slab look and feel. A little heavier than many in this class which should translate to a little darker tone and more sustain. The fretboard is a dream at the price. Very well done, the edge is smooth and it looks conditioned/oiled so none of that dry grainy look. everyone so far has complimented the markers, they are unique and catch the eye. I looked at dozens of cheap guitars and none of them come close to this neck and fretboard, there's even $1800 Jacksons getting dinged over the sloppy fretwork in some reviews. The frets are nice with ball ends that stop short of the edges so you can't feel them. While not traditionally a flat headstock fan, if you want a single piece of wood it's how it has to be. Even the string trees are above average, usually it's a little piece of tin on a screw. The specs say bone nut, another awesome touch, anything is better than plastic, even if its squirrel bones.😂 The knobs work well and the switch sounds like decent quality with a good solid click. While hard to see in the photo the tremelo is a 2 point system. Meaning it has a little pull back like a Floyd rose, not just dive bombing like a classic. It might even have a decent tone block, can't tell yet. It's only been a short time but the pickups sound ok, they aren't Seymour Duncan's but I've heard much much worse and they get my O.D. crunchin well enough. about 90% playable out of the box and just needs some tweaks Usually I find a bunch of things to upgrade on cheaper stuff but this is pretty solid. The more I play it the more I want to play it and it will happily keep me busy for a while. Is it a $1000 axe? Nope. But it's punching way above its weight class in presentation and feels well above other top brand guitars at this price and the attention to little details is just impressive and IMHO if all you have is a couple hundred I guarantee this will smoke any cheap Jax or Ibanez. Westcreek made me a fan. ( Now if they could get busy on a 7 str multiscale that'd be great) -Thrasher. ... show more
