The material isn’t very tightening to begin with and I personally felt the bones in it are unnecessary and make the fit even more awkward. What I hated about this was the fit. As I mentioned I’m 5’4 and 2 months post partum so I do have some loose skin from my pregnancy and this just enhanced that. Haha it literally scooped all that up and gave me the worst muffing top. Haha also I didn’t feel it smoothed my stomach out in the least bit. I even got size medium to make sure it gave me another fit around the belly and it definitely didn’t. I returned. I have a tummy and love handles .. both side keep rolling up. to me , it doesn’t really have compression at the tummy area .. or maybe I got the wrong size? I’m 180lbs and I ordered a large . I took a picture for me wearing an underwear under that way people can see better what I mean . I’m not happy with the product and I can’t return it because I took the tags off. ... show more

If you want a tight corset feel, get your normal size and you'll be satisfied. If comfort is a concern, you could size up and I'm pretty sure it'll still sinch your waist just fine. Overall, I'm satisfied with this purchase. Seems well made with quality materials.
