If your looking for a real good home owners saw with 454 BIG BLOCK POWER this is your saw! I've worked on chain saws for a living over the past 30 years of being a mechanic. And I must say this is made Better than the Craftsman LOWE'S SAW I purchased. Starts easier. Bigger bar 20", made similar but better and definitely Bigger than the Craftsman. The chain tensioner is in the front like the old ones, and the frame is beefier. The price is the same as what Lowe's sells the Craftsman saw for with a 16" bar with 42cc engine. BOTH MADE IN CHINA BY THE WAY! It Ripped through a 28 inch tree fast. Handles good. starts good and very powerful. I highly recommend this. Update After many tanks of gas, bar oil, chain adjustments, and a full week of use with many many large log cuts,,, it is still easy to start and cuts like a hot knife though butter and I'm not being nice to this saw at all. 25:1 mix and old motor oil for bar oil. Ran a few gallons through it now. Starts and runs after a few pulls. Runs strong and cuts pretty well. Been using it cutting up 24” diameter stumps. On mine the side plate (clutch plate) didn’t fit correctly. A few minutes adjusting the holes with a round file and it was resolved. The aluminum handle is pretty weak and the plastic throttle handle rubs on the body plastic if you put any force into the cut. It rubs and melts. The air filter is pretty cheesy. And the clutch has a pretty weak hold. If you try to muscle into the cut it’s easy to slip the clutch and heat it up, then it slips even worse. All in all not bad for a $120 saw. I bought it to thrash it cutting out and removing stumps rather than tear up my more expensive saws and bars. It’s worked well for that purpose so far. ... show more

This chainsaw never properly worked but I held on to it stupidly because I figured I would not use it as much. The pulley never properly worked and it took a while to get the saw cranked up. The chain is flimsy and cheap and gets stuck often plus doesn’t cut through thick branches. I still kept it since I only have used it a handful of times and for small branches. Today I went to use it and the saw is completely dead, normally it was a struggle to get it started but today, after many attempts, I could not get it going. Now I’m regretting not returning immediately as the return window has passed. Don’t waste your money, I started reading other reviews and they all mention the pulley falling apart. ... show more

Purchased this for residential use . So far so good ! No issues with the chain . I was able to cut down a good amount of trees in 30 minutes . Will say it’s a bit intimidating but than again I’m a women hahaha . It is kinda heavy especially when try to carry it up on a ladder . Starts easy . Sharpness is good . ... show more

    • Chain Brake Sprocket Cover smoke and burnt.

I never given any review, but this product is quite disappointed to me. I read reviews and saw many good YouTube testing and good review, so I decided to get this product with hope to mill a log that I got from friend. The shipping was very fast. I got it start every easy as follow the instruction. While I was waiting for 5 minute warming up with the Chain was still on Brake, I saw smoke and thought that too much gas or oil. but I notice the chained was turning, then the Chain Brake Sprocket Cover get smoke badly. I turned off and let it cool down. After open the Chain Brake Sprocket Cover, I saw it burnt and melt. the brake no longer work. I hope there is a replace parts for this available from online, but I saw no where is selling those. ... show more
