I had a new windshield installed in my Hummer H2. I did a silicone caulking job many years ago to prevent the windshield trim from vibrating in strong winds. The caulk was removed when the new windshield was installed. That left me in need of more black silicone. When I found this on Amazon, I immediately ordered it. I've included a pic of me using it. You can see me running a bead up under the trim on the driver's side windshield trim. I did the same on the passenger's side. Once it's dry, no more vibrating. This silicone was easy to apply and has a nice consistency. No issues with the tube or the nozzle. I included two more pics of me resealing the partially used tube. Maybe twenty years ago, after throwing away many tubes of caulk because they had dried out, I tried something different. Before opening any caulk tube, I plug a hot glue gun into an outlet. Then I go about my caulking job. When done, I clean off the hole and seal it back up with hot glue. The glue is hot and tends to run, so I just keep rotating the tube until I have a nice solidified glue ball covering up the caulk hole. It is the best way I've found to keep a tube of caulk preserved. This works with both removable tips (like this product) and unremovable tips. When using removable tips, just let the caulk in the tip dry, and then push the dried caulk out of the tip in one piece. ... show more

The usual caulk on my trailer, for whatever reason, has cracked and dried out. The manufacturer could used better material, but I suppose that would be too expensive. I like using silicone. It flows and shapes easily, and it lasts a long time after it's put into place. This is going to replace some old original caulking that failed and let in water around the slide. ... show more

We applied this around our master bathroom tub window where we just put up blackout window film but needed to fill in the edges of the window with a matching black caulk. This window gets a ton of heat (like a furnace) so we needed something that can withstand the high temperature this window was getting as well. We have had this applied for several weeks now and it still looks as good as the first day. It was very sticky, almost stickier than normal caulk, per my husband but that was just fine. I got this for a Vine product review to use on the shed roof to seal gaps between the shingles and the wood. I had ordered a different brand and wanted to see which was better. PROS * waterproof * easy to use * dries relatively quick * can be used in a number of places * indoor and outdoor use * good price of $11.48 CONS * none for me. I used this caulk to seal several outdoor electrical junction box fittings. It made them water tight. the caulk adhered perfectly to the abs plastic box as well as to the nylon fittings. I chose black as that was the color of my j box. It flowed easily out of the tube when mounted in a standard caulk gun. Would buy again. ... show more

    • Nice caulk to have for anytime black meets stainless steel

This is great caulk for my black marble countertops and stainless steel sinks. Having a white line between the two destroys the look. Other than the color, everything is standard silicone adhesive caulk for your caulk gun and trimming tools. Very nice look and truly black.
