This mini-split stand is well built and was easy to assemble in 10-15 minutes. One of the nuts was sort of oddly shaped and the wrench didn't fit on it properly but I improvised to get it tight. Other issue this size should show rated for 9,000 to 12,000 btu units. I put a 18,000 btu unit and wished I had gotten the next size. ... show more

I assembled this but did not yet get an A/C unit mounted. This stand requires some solid platform to sit on, the area of the feet looks small for compacted gravel or such. The height adjustments on the legs are great to compensate and bring to a perfect horizontal mounting the A/C unit. With the expected amount of vibration it may be safe though to drill and drive extra bolts through the frame and the legs to make sure this is perfectly secured. All construction looks good, well applied powder coating, good quality bolts. Only real usage will tell how well this behaves over time, but for now there really isn’t anything I could spot that would detract from a high rating. ... show more

I didn't realize the frame was welded when I ordered this stand. It was a pleasant surprise upon opening. The whole thing takes 10 minutes to put together, half of that time was finding my wrenches. The legs attach easily with what looks like good quality stainless (304) acorn nuts and washers. If you're paranoid that the legs may slip a little (the design is a pinch style with room for vertical adjustment) then you could run a self tapping screw through each leg once it's all perfected. Though, with a stand this nice you'll want to make sure you use stainless or something that won't rust. It would be a shame to add a rusting part to an otherwise rust free kit. The welds are decent. They aren't aircraft quality, and they aren't spalled looking spot welds. You're going to need anchors if you're on concrete (not included) and a hammer drill/bit for them. The foot plates are predrilled for them. The powder coat is a thick glossy finish. All the different areas that brought this kit together feel well done and thoughtful. If it fits your dimensions, I think you'll be pleased. ... show more
