I bought this table for my deck. It is well enough designed and sturdy. I immediately treated it with teak oil to preserve it. However, it is not the best wood, and the pseudo cherry stain they put on it is ill advised. My photo shows how it is mottled and apparently flaking off (which seems odd for a stain), exposing spots of very light wood. I recommend sanding it to bare wood and then oiling it. I'll do this when warmer weather returns in the spring and see how it fares. I wish they had offered an unfinished option. ... show more

My first impression upon completion of assembling this set is how absolutely gorgeous it looks -- it's simple, yet elegant, and will truly match any style! Secondly, I was impressed with how STURDY this set is. So many wood sets tend to be flimsy, but this one is insanely solid. We have two boys who are both terrors, so we needed something that wouldn't break easily, and this was perfect. The only part of assembly that was a problem was assembling the leaf/extender side supports on the long-sides of the table. The way the directions show you how to assemble this part is completely confusing, and we ended up flip-flopping two of the pieces. However, it was easily fixed, and honestly the table would have been fine had we left it that way -- we just wouldn't have been able to "un-extend" it :) My only warning about this set is you MUST be dedicated to maintaining the wood. The top review on here shows a photo of the table "looking a decade old" -- this is a completely unfair review -- it looks that way because the buyer was lazy didn't oil it as you're told to both in the description of this listing and in the directions when you get the table. If you're not going to follow through on maintaining items, don't buy them. Otherwise, if you're willing to do the maintenance (it's honestly not hard to oil something once every three months), this is solid investment at an amazing price! :) Highly recommended, and would absolutely purchase from this brand again. ... show more

What a great find! I needed an outdoor table to host some guests that was affordable, looked great, and would arrive quickly. I honestly didn’t think it was possible to check all the boxes. It arrived so quickly! This table is perfect for our deck! Wasn’t hard to assemble although we did encounter similar issues people experienced with screws not going all the way through. But the table feels really sturdy. We rubbed teak oil on it and were good to go. Wish we bought it earlier in the Season so that we could have enjoyed the table longer. After the first week, it rained. After seeing some reviews of rainwater staining the table, I immediately wiped the table off. Didn’t see any issues with staining. Maybe they didn’t stain the table? The furniture was made with good design in mind, but the wood was flimsy and broke down faster than any outdoor furniture I have ever owned. For the amount of money you spend, it was a huge disappointment. They really need to stop building furniture with the Acacia wood.

The reviews for this table are not the best, but the table is. If you've never assembled furniture before, this might be a challenge. So, for the neophytes: Assemble it on the box top. It will fit. Get a folding chair or something that's easy to move. Find the little white box with the screws - you'll have to get the whole table out of the box to see them. Each bag has exactly what you need for each assembly operation. There are instructions in the box that are worth going over. First you need to put the table top together using the two boards that tie the two halves together. Next you'll put on the four legs. All screws will go in easily. If they don't, don't force them. Take enough apart so that you can screw them in without assembling anything, just to prove to yourself that they work. When it's all together. if you have anyone to help, tip it over on its feet. If not, you can do it yourself - I did. Just make sure that you don't get trapped under it, and that you have plenty of room. I turned mine up in my kitchen right from the box top where I assembled it. It was very handy to have an electric screw driver. Made things go much faster. I'm old, so I went slow, and it took me 1 hr. 18 min. to open the box, get everything out, and put together, and then to turn the table over. I had to have the correct Allen wrench bit, but thankfully I already had it. Be sure to hand tighten everything once your done - hopefully before you turn the table over. I couldn't get chairs from Amazon for this table, but Bed, Bath, and Beyond have some that fold up and look nice for a decent price. ... show more

Assembly was relatively simple. The holes weren't all super lined up but I got the screws in with a little bit of effort. The wood is a little bit rough but I plan to sand with fine grit sandpaper and add some teak oil anyway to protect it from the elements. It's sturdy and looks nice.
