I got tired of the inevitable spills and leaks from the paper containers for my sugar and flour. These easily hold those items, plus I'm now using one for oats. The clear container makes it easy to identify what's inside, but I used the labels anyway just because I like them. There are a few styles to choose from, and the included white pen is a nice perk. The downside: I'm not convinced they're truly air-tight, but the lid is reasonably secure. The measurements on the measuring cups are the same color as the cup, so I find them difficult to read. I used a marker to make them easier to see. They're a bit big for me to grab with one hand, but that's not a deal breaker. It would just be a nice feature. ... show more

When I ordered these, I was a little concerned that they would not be quite large enough to fit the entire contents of a 5 pound bag of flour but they are more than adequate for that. The seal in the lids is nice and thick and made of a fairly soft although strong feeling rubber compound so they should seal nicely. The lids snap on very securely, where the clips attach to the lids is nice and thick so they should not be breaking off anytime soon. Very nice containers. They each come with their own scoop. It's easier to get flour and sugar, etc. out of these rather than the tall vertical containers. You get a white marker and plenty of extra labels, if you decide to change things. Well worth getting these. I would recommend.

These containers are great! They hold probably around 6-7 lbs of a product. I'm talking flour, etc. etc. I don't have a cabinet they will fit into. So they sit on my kitchen counter. If you use flour and such in your kitchen. By making things from scratch. Get these. They have various sizes you can get to fit your needs. It is air tight and keeps bugs out. I find the lids are easy to use and I have gout with my hands. Which makes it hard to do different things at times. The best part for me was the 4 scoops. They are 1 cup each. Which is perfect. I no longer have to use the same measuring cup for all my powders. I may get some more of these in the future. Just some of the smaller sizes next time. ... show more
