It’s much easier to clean my fruits and veggies, the seal holds up and keeps the fruit lasting longer. What I’m not a huge fan of is because the refrigerators these days seem son dang tiny, they do take up a lot of space, but if you don’t typically have a lot of items in your fridge it’s not bad. Needless to say I’d purchase them again or as a house warming gift. They also hold up well in the dishwasher on the top rack. So far I love these! It comes with a strainer so you can wash them and then just plop them into the container. Good choice of sizes except the little one because it will not hold much of anything- maybe a few blueberries!

I make my own lettuce mix and in these containers they outlast the store bought mixes by 5 days. My blueberries and raspberries do not get mold as quickly. These are great. However, if you buy these, we have had a lot of trouble with the lids closing. I don't know if we just got a bad batch or if the problem has been fixed. When we first noticed (right when we bought them) we thought they would fix themselves with use or we would get better and smashing the lids into place. No so. We are still struggling. So, if you buy these (and they are worth it) and the lids won't close, send them back and get a replacement. We waited too long and now we struggle with them. The lid doesn't seem well made. It's more like cheap plastic from take out containers vs. what you get with branded food containers. I also think there isn't a lot of space between the basket and the container. I would've wanted more space for liquid to not touch the fruit. This set is very nice You can soak your fruits like blueberries and strawberry to remove all the dirt and etc. Then wash the fruits after and store in a container. Any fruits or small vegetables can be stored in them. I put two paper towels folded into the bottom of the containers then add the insert and next add the fruits. I had read putting paper towels into the bottom of a container before adding fruits or vegetables keep them from turning bad. They last longer. I do this when I slice up a cucumber and it works, the sliced cucumber doesn't become slimy but stays hard and fresh. ... show more
