Once I got it together, it has been good. But I was ready to send it back because it was so hard to do. Be sure to read the whole "instructions" paper because early on it says that you're all set up, then later it says that you have to do something else before you're eally all set up. Kept reading reviews of people saying the air pump was gonna be super loud and will need to be replaced. When I plugged it in without anything else connected, it was super loud. However, once all the tubing and connections were made, it's actually as silent as all my other aquarium air pumps. So instead of having to replace the air pump, it's sitting happily in my tent pumping doing its job. I did not like that some of the holes for tubing were on the bucket instead of the lid, so i simply drilled 2 holes on the lid for the air pump and water recycle tubes. I then used regular tubing to fill the two unused holes on the bucket so that there wouldnt be any leaks. Very happy with this system. Have everything I need. I did order some extra buckets to help with water changes every so often, as the lids work on any 5 gallon bucket. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Received this yesterday. Instructions were very clear and logical. Quality engineering and manufacturing. Well thought out and goes together relatively easy. Was in operation in less than 3 hours. Germinated seedlings go in the buckets in 2 more days. This thing rocks!

The good: —everything was included that was listed. — pretty much a complete system The not-so-good: —instructions can confuse you if you try to follow along with the diagram because towards the end they are messed up and the hose/holes are switched up — the pump is NOISY AF (I actually purchased a replacement to use right away after hearing it) — you still have to cut all your own hoses and assemble everything yourself and the hose they included ended up being way too short for a 4 bucket system. —the clay pepples were really filthy, much more than others I have used, be sure to rinse them really good before using — the convenience really amounts to very little and what this kit actually contains is actually about $50-$70 worth of supplies max. If you can use a drill, just make your own because that is the extent of what you are paying the premium for here. ... show more

The buckets and nests are great after that they are not up to their normally high standards. The air tubing has tobe heated to attach it to the fittings . The fittings are poorly made and break easily. The tubes used for the water level sight glass are dark blue, not clear , making the water level imposible to see even with the red floating balls. The air stone are small and inadequate for this type of system as is the air pump that is not powerful enough to supply eight airlines. ... show more
