These are pretty easy to install, and they look great. I put them in my garage windows that face the front of my house, because previously I had window blinds but they got filthy with dirt & bugs and were impossible to keep clean. These give the look of window blinds (especially from the outside), but allow in some light and can wipe clean. You can see images when looking from inside to outside, but you can't really see anything but shadows from the outside looking inside. The only difficult thing about installing them is trimming the perimeter to the edge of the window after placing them. The film is very pliable and difficult to cut especially in the corners. It sill looks fine, but my cuts were jagged. Be sure to have a good sharp cutting blade on your utility knife. One note - if you are a perfectionist like me: The pattern repeat is not consistent through the roll. You can see in the pictures, my windows have 2 panes side x side. I used the first half of the roll on the left window pane, the 2nd half on the right window pane. But even though I cut the top edge at exactly the same spot in the pattern, the stripes do not line up farther down the window. If I had to do it again, I would have bought the size 2x as wide, and cut both window panes from the same place on the roll to be sure the patterns matched. Also I checked the price and would have saved about $20-30 if I had done that. ... show more

it looks nice design wise, privacy yet you can sort of see out if needed This stuff just wont stay on my windowx. Period! Its up then falls off in a couple of days. Could be the hot climate . But that is my experience. ........ correcting! my review!---- after many times i noticed a tiny peeling layer in one corner and found that it DOES have a super thin clear film protecting rear, and i got that off and wet it down and now so far its still up! the manufacturer needs to make that peel off film backing another color so you can tell its there. suggestion! then people would see it. thanks for updating. ... show more

I needed something not so much for privacy but to block puppies view because they bark at anything or anyone passing by. They tore up my mini blinds so I went looking and found this. This lets me see enough to see if someone is in my drive or at my door and lets the light in while providing enough blockage for them. I attached a picture of inside and swveeal pictures of daytime and nighttime. It was fairly easy to put on once I figured out how to make sure all the panes lined up. Of course none of the panes are the same size so each one had to be cut to size but it turned out great and Im happy. I didnt get the fancy stuff to put it on the windows. This adhesive window cling is a little complicated to master but it does the intended job. Will test the temperature factor in the spring and summer but so far it is keeping the room temperature regulated on the 3rd floor of home

First let me say that it's my fault for not noticing it came in 2 different sizes when I ordered it the 1st time (accidentally got the smaller size). We have a full clear glass storm door over the front Pella door & I figured it needed some UV rays protection before the expensive door fades due to the full sun shining on it most of the day. Upon receiving & cutting it to fit the glass door, I realized I needed another roll because it only covered a tad over 1/2 of the glass width. Upon getting my 2nd order of the same square grid pattern, I cut it & began installing both. The film is of a thicker & darker vinyl than what I expected, but it's been installed so I'll live with it to see if it grows on me, but as of now I'm not really liking it. The grid pattern reminds me of rabbit hutch wire fencing. The exterior looks reflective, almost like a mirror. I wish I'd bought the wider size with no pattern for my full door, but live & learn, right? MY TIP TO YOU IN ADVANCE: 1) measure the width of your glass door before ordering (length of the roll had about 2-3" of excess vinyl to spare)! SQUARE GRID PATTERN INSTALLATION TIPS: 1) if you need to position 2 rolls to match up the lines of the grid pattern, be sure to apply each so that the factory cut sides butt up against each other in center of the glass. 2) apply it so the edges that you've hand cut are along the sides of the glass door frame which will camouflage any uneven cuts. PHOTO DESCRIPTIONS: 1st - 3rd) view on an overcast day from the inside of our house looking out the front glass door. Notice you can see the heavier line running from top to bottom where the 2 vinyls were butted up against each other. I tried my best & the lines matched up when I started applying it at the top, but upon squeegee-ing the air bubbles out it must've shifted because when both were installed the grid lines weren't an exact match. Towards the bottom of the door you can see a slight gap where the 2 vinyl panels had shifted apart (3rd photo). 4th & 5th) looking at the outside of the glass door you can see how reflective it is as it mirrors back the image of my porch post, landscaping & front yard (not a fan of this look). The last photo is a close up where you can see how the vinyl grid pattern didn't exactly match up. I'd applied the 1st vinyl with the factory cut up against the door frame edging. After applying the 2nd vinyl panel with the factory cut edge butting up against my hand cut edge in the glass center was when I realized what I should've done instead. In the future I may or may not try to remove the 1st panel to reapply it with the factory cut edge in the center of the glass to see if that looks any better. I'll also see how it looks at a distance from the exterior & at that point decide whether to keep it or throw both panels in the trash. ... show more

I used this product to cover a glass window on my back door. Easier to apply than I expected. Did have several bubbles under vinyl but using the edge of credit card, easily removed bubbles. Some what time consuming. But very pleased with the product.

The first one was a little tricky to put on, but once I figured it out, the rest went well. It kept the heat out from the sun on our RV like they say, just use lots of water and squeegee it when you’re done.
