This is a review for VIRTUE Flourish Hair Thickening Styling Treatment for Thinning or Fine Hair. To be honest I was surprised that this worked. Since I crossed that dreaded threshold we all eventually do I noticed that my hair was not as full, bouncy and shiny as it once was. I've used various other brands that claimed to help give the impression that you had big bouncy hair. So far, they didn't do much or it just didn't last. My hair is very fine but very curly so it can look 'big' except in the area where there is a lot of loss or thinning. That area was the area I needed some help with! T washed my hair yesterday and added nothing other than conditioner and rinsed. This cream is to be applied on damp hair and worked in at the roots. I followed the directions to the "T". Blew the hair dry with a round brush. My hair is chin length so it didn't take long. I was surprised how much I had to give it extra pull to calm the bounce and straighten it! I was really concerned to see how the results on the thinning in the back would turn out. It filled in nicely! This morning, after sleeping on it, it looked just as good as it did yesterday. I am very happy about the results, but I do have 1 little issue. The cap! To access the cream on some tubes you are supposed to push down on 1 side of the cap or just twist off the cap and squeeze. It should be obvious, but it wasn't! The cap is solid white and it's big and it looks like a twist off cap in fact it does twist off. IT opens to the very wide mouth of the tube. After much head scratching, I finally found the side of the cap to press down to access just a "nickel' Sized amount as suggested. There is nothing obvious to indicate that this is a push down cap. There is barely an indentation on 1 side. You have to really look hard. An arrow or a word or two would have helped tremendously and saved me time and frustration! ... show more

I am always looking for better products for my hair and this one did not disappoint. I have fine thin hair and I usually have to add a couple different products to it before styling. This product combines the heat protection with the styling help I was looking for. I have been using it for a couple weeks now and have been very pleased with the changes to my hair. I definitely have more volume to my hair. My hair is also very soft with this product and holds the curl as well as other products I have used. I will definitely continue to use this . ... show more

    • I just put it all on my roots...
I squeezed out the nickel size amount recommended on this Virtue Flourish Hair Thickening Treatment, looked at my hair, which I had let dry curly, and thought what the heck, I'm using it all on my roots. I applied it to the crown, the part, and the front of my hair around my face and pulled up taut from the scalp as I applied. My hair was dry. Did it work? Yes, it worked quite well. The biggest reason I don't wear my hair curly anymore is because my hair is not as thick as it once was, and I feel like my scalp is more visible through curly strands than straight. This is not the suggested application, but it worked great for me. No visible scalp. Next time I blow out my hair, I will try it as suggested and edit this to let you know if it was less effective. No edit if it works. One thing to point out, the product is highly perfumed. If you can't smell it, you need to take a Covid test right away! It has at least 7 different added scents to it (the last 7 ingredients), maybe more, and it is almost more than I can take. I hope the scent wears off because I would hate to not use the Virtue Thickening Treatment because of scent. I see NO REASON to add this much scent. Many of us don't like scents, but for those who do, this will definitely compete with your perfume if it doesn't wear off. (40 minutes and hoping...) ... show more

I love the Virtue products for my thin hair and I had never tried this thickening styling treatment before. I had been using the 6-IN-1 styler that is used from the middle of hair to the ends. The Virtue Flourish thickening styling treatment goes on from the roots out and covers each strand in a refreshing citrusy lightweight cream. After styling, your hair feels thick and the hair style stays in place but you can run your fingers through it, and the hair is not stiff. It takes care of fly away strands on top and looks great.     • Does volumize hair, has a good unisex smell
I do like this styling treatment. I have medium length, medium thick hair that is pretty flat normally. I didn't need to use as much as a nickel sized amount. I did work it into my scalp and then thru my hair. It does not make your hair greasy. I recommend it for dry hair. I feel like it leads to more bouncy hair when you use on dry hair. It smells kind of like cedar or sandalwood. It is a nice scent that can be appreciated by men and women. Overall, it is a good product. The website for the company says OUR BRAND IS FREE OF SULFATES, PARABENS, PHTHALATES, SYNTHETIC COLORS AND DYES. GLUTEN FREE. CRUELTY FREE. VEGAN. This company is pretty clearly positioning themselves as a higher end luxury item. I wouldn't say this is the best product I have ever used, but it is definitely one of the good ones. ... show more

This feels too heavy on my hair type and the scent is too strong for my taste. A bit of a floral perfume smell. It makes my fine hair crunchy feeling. I would not repurchase.     • Perfect Blow-Out Styling Cream!
I LOVE this Virtue Flourish Blow Out Styling cream for thinner hair. I actually think it would work for any hair. It is a fairly thick cream, but spreads out evenly and fine, very similar to the usual normal blow out cream I use in my hair. I did think it was slightly more fluffy than usual when I was done- fuller, but it still had shine to it. (Not dramatically so, but subtly so.) And the scent is so appealing- minty, and really delightful. I loved everything about this product, and I believe I will be switching from my usual blowout cream to this one from now on!
