  • This product matches the company’s description! Yay!
Pros: fun to ride, good wheels and they roll over small rocks and cracks, the brakes will slow you down but not stop you, battery life exceeded the 40 minutes as advertised (I weight 160 lbs 5’8’’), hub motors have less maintenance, and it’s cheap right now! Under 100 bucks is great! Cons: the wires underneath the board come in contact with the tires causing them to tear the insulation(before you ride zip tie them to the trucks to protect them), it’s heavy, not very portable, no kick tail, no flex in the board, the drift plate rattles unless you stand on it (which activates the rear wheels to turn), it will not go up any incline unless your pushing full speed and make it to the top before it slows down. This is my first electric skateboard and it just doesn’t have enough power for me. This would be great for newbies (because of the slower speeds it’s safer) or for younger kids. Even though it’s slow, it’s still fun to ride and feel the wind on your face. Remember the price (I paid 100 for mine) so it’s not going to be the best at anything. Before riding please make sure to add insulation to those wires near the motor to protect them from true abrasion (electrical tape is not strong enough) I give it 4 stars because of the price and description matches my experience with it. I would give 5 stars but I had some issues explained below. Update: It’s been 3 riding sessions and there are a couple of issues that bothers me. The wire for the hub motor sticks out so far that turning the board causes the wheel to brush up against the insulation. That will eventually ruin the wiring. Find some abrasion resistant tape to protect that wire if you plan to keep it. Last thing is the remote. I was having major interruptions between the board and remote. It was connecting and disconnecting every few seconds. I think it was some kind of interference. This is dangerous because the motor would turn on and off unexpectedly (loosing my balance, but not falling). The problem seemed to go away when I was at an open park away from business. ... show more

  • Do not buy this driftboard!
We just had the same experience other people wrote about on here. I hope you are smarter than we were and are reading this review before making the purchase. Unfortunately I didn't see other peoples reviews until after. Our experience went like this. Ordered the board, received it, unboxed it, charged it for 4 hours, and unit wouldn't turn on. after messing with it quite a bit, determined we must've received a defective unit or something. Amazon graciously had us a replacement in just over 24 hours. Unboxed the replacement, plugged it in for 4 hours...and IT ALSO wouldn't turn on! Both times I thought it was weird that the charger light stayed green the whole time it was plugged in, never gave any indication of it charging or anything. Started doing some research and sure enough, several people had the same experience, not once, but twice even, just like we did. I did see where someone took it apart and claims to have "woke" the battery and got it to work. That just doesn't make sense to need to be done, and unfortunately, they don't make it exactly easy to get to the battery. Didn't want to risk damaging the board while trying to take it apart and then maybe not be eligible for a refund. Just returned the second one as well and will get a whole different product. Hope we were able to save you from making a big mistake with this purchase. ... show more

  • Drop the price or discontinue the product it's a cheap starter board lower the price
Had to take it apart just to find out internal was unplugged and wouldnt allow it to charge the motorized wheel wasnt in all the way on all the boards the price your selling these for is way to steep and it needs to be sold for nothing more than 40 bucks the price your asking now is for a board that can go faster than 10 miles an hour drop the price most the boards being sold are not safe or dont work cheap material. Also the deck tape needs to come not on board so all bolts can be tightened attempts to take deck tape off it tares ... show more

  • Skateboard never was able to power on!
Opened brand new from box, immediately plugged in to make sure I had a full charge before I rode it. After a few hours the light was green on the charger so I took it off and opened the instructions. The skateboard would not power on. So I went back to the instructions where it listed a few steps to pair the remote to the board but in small letter said it should have already been paired in the factory. This also wouldn’t work, so therefor I have a skateboard and remote that does not work. Or maybe the remote does but the skateboard does not. I requested to return but do not have a box big enough to send it back, turned out to be a waste of money on my part and I now have two very disappointed children. I suggest spending more and going for a better brand 10 out of 10 on the do not buy scale. ... show more

  • Good value but the quality is not exactly there
Don't expect a smooth ride! It has a hard time going over any surface that is not smooth. A bit noisy compared to other skates. But i guess i get what i paid for.

  • paperweight with wheels??
Would like to give it and flat no stars or even negative. Its pretty damn bad when the rep on the other end tells me :. "yeah, you just might as well return of where you got it from. We don't replace or sell the batteries and it's not even worth the effort on either of us to try to troubleshoot. It probably won't work anyhow." I'm like Uh, ok.... After reading all the reviews on it, I came to the conclusion that it's either a POS or they never bought one. If they had luck with it working right away--they must've had to do the hokey pokey before opening the box or something... ... show more
