Wow, I'd forgotten how much I liked this type of massager. I have a spot in the middle of my back that periodically gives me much pain. It hasn't flared up for years but it came back with a vengeance I found this and it came same day. I didn't walk I ran to the front door to get it and immediately set it up. I've been using it off and on since. Needless to say it's exactly what the doctor ( me ) ordered! This massager is exactly what it says, deep tissue and I'm not kidding. The heat isn't overwhelming and you can move it around enough to hit the areas you really need. If you don't try this out let me just tell you you're silly, haha. It's great quality, the handle on the top makes it easy to move around, the perfect size, the settings are easy to reach, I just can't say enough about this. I actually like it a lot better than the previous one I had. I leaned into that one so much I froze it up, I'm not kidding. This thing is quite good for the price. I typically use a hard foam roller to stretch out my middle back pain. I have had pain in the same area for over 20 years. Last week, I tried to move some wood loading ramps early in the morning and all of sudden felt like I could not even stand up. It almost felt like something broke in my back. This has acutally happened before in the past, but only a few times over 20 years. Usually it is just a muscle strain which is painful at first, then sore for a couple weeks to a couple months at most. I ordered this back massager the morning after this latest injury and it was delivered within a couple hours. The foam roller was just too painful and would not provide the little cracks and immediate relief it typically does. This massager provided such intense feelings of relief and got into deep tissue that I literally felt what you could describe as euphoria. The problem is it felt so good that I really leaned my weight onto the unit so much that the balls would barely move and I seem to have bruised my back around my spine quite a bit. Now I can only use this massager very lightly until the bruise heals up. The heating feature is not all that warm, but I did feel it. Being a long time sufferer of back pain, I try a little of everything. This massager should really help provide some immediate temporary relief. But to those suffering, I will relate that the absolute best help was strengthening my core by situps, pullups, pushups etc and the corresponding weight loss. I did not have any back pain for years when I could do sets of 10-15 pullups at a time, but I got lazy and now I am suffering again. I have a tens unit. It works great, but it is too hard to get the pads on my back by myself. I have the heating pads and the ice pads. I have the foam rollers with and without knubs. I have a bosu ball. I have the icy hot, the tiger balm, the biofreeze. I have a hot tub with all kinds of jets and 5 different seating positions. This massager is a very welcome addition. I bought an accupressure mat at the same time, about which I was very skeptical in comparison to a shiatsu heated massager. But I am using the accupressure mat in conjunction with the shiatsu massager and light stretching and got back to work after only a couple days with only annoying stiffness, discomfort and soreness instead of intolerable pain and immobility. ... show more

I love that it has heat and it feels so good with the different settings you can choose from. The quality is great, and easy to use. I would only use like 5 to 10 minutes though Because the pressure is very strong and if your not used to using one, it might make you more sore. Had the product for a year before it stopped working, did a great job at the start but deteriorated over time with use, the material covering the mechanisms began to fray badly and then the cord connection in the middle of the back failed, the placement into the center of the back is not ideal since the cord is stressed at a bad angle every time you use it. ... show more

It's smaller then i expected, I'm 6 foot with broad shoulders and it seems to hit the right spots regardless of the small size. there is no remote or anything, just the two buttons on the device itself. one for rotation, that if you tap a second time it rotates in the opposite direction. the other is power but if you hit that a second time it turns off the "heat". Because of the placement, these buttons can be accidentally hit with your back which is a little annoying. A remote on the wire would have been much better. The heat I really cant feel very well. It isn't anything near a heating pad or electric blanket type of heat. but it's mildly warm I guess. it has a small elastic strap with some velcro for putting on a car headrest. it's too short for a chair back but both ends have velcro. If you wanted to with one more strip of velcro you could add something there. all in all I do really like it and it did what I wanted it for. ... show more
