  • It works!
Size: 3 Pack
These traps are not for outdoors. Moisture will render them inactive and show an LED fault light if they get a little wet. That said, we have a rat problem outside, not inside. So after putting baited but unarmed traps out for a week, I waited for a dry evening and set 3 armed traps out. Next day I found this big rat in one of the traps. I may put these into another outer box to keep them dry and see if I can get more use from them. Tip: bait the traps with peanut butter without arming them for at least a week. Rats are smart and must become comfortable around the traps. ... show more

  • Rat Killing Machine !
Size: 2 Pack
These traps work great! We had an infestation of rats near our chicken coop. After removing their food source, the rats remained, and quite a few of them. I bought 2 of these traps. I've set the traps out for 4 nights, and each night I've caught 2 rats, for a total of 8 so far! I've been baiting them with peanut butter, and sometimes a little chicken feed sprinkled near the back, which they love, and obviously miss. The instructions say to clean the trap after each use. I haven't done this, but the trap just keeps catching rats. I probably will eventually clean it with hydrogen peroxide, as recommended. I've used jaw traps in the past, with mixed results. These electric traps definitely work better, and are easier to bait, set, and dispose of the rodent. And it looks like they do a quick kill, as opposed to jaw traps which sometimes miss. These are probably rated as indoor traps, but I've been using them outdoors in dry CA summer weather, where there is no moisture. I don't think I would use it outdoors if there was a chance of rain. ... show more

  • I took a chance despite the 3 star average
Size: 2 Pack
Unfortunately, rats found a way into my house during the drought. It took a bit to find the entry point and now that it's sealed, we have to continue to deal with the ones that are here. We started out using snap traps but after a while they stopped working. Even replacing them didn't seem to do any good. We decided to give live traps a try. Nothing. So, I decided to give these a try. I purchased the 2 pack and set them up. I've caught several! These work. I don't know if people are getting faulty ones or they are not setting them up correctly, but mine work just fine. You will need a soft bristle brush and hydrogen peroxide to clean the traps. The peroxide cleans away any smell of death. Turn the unit off. Poor hydrogen peroxide of over the plates and gentle scrub with the brush, let them air dry completely and then set them up again. I will be purchasing 2 more to trade out while the others dry until I'm completely confident that they are all gone. If you're worried that the C batteries can't deliver a punch, I can tell you that I can hear the hum of the electrical current when a rat gets zapped. They cry out for a second or two but that's all. I hate killing anything, but with my 3 year old grandson in the house, I have to do it. If they'd used the live traps, I would have released them in a field, but they didn't so now I want to kill them as quickly and painlessly as possible. ... show more

  • Rat/mice traps - easy to use and effective
Size: 3 Pack
Our neighborhood feral cats have disappeared because of coyotes and bobcats. They haven't kept down the mice and rat population as well. I bought these electric traps to help them 😉 and I think these traps are great. They’re easy to load the tasty bait into to entice them in and easy to remove the rats after they have been instantly dispatched by electrical shock. I don’t have to be concerned about other animals or my pets finding poisoned critters and possibly being poisoned themselves. The instructions do say not to place them in areas where they may be rained on or stand in water or in/on items that might possibly catch fire easily. This hasn’t been a problem. ... show more

  • These work and are much safer than the spring traps or posion
Size: 2 Pack
We had a wood rat problem so I purchased #3 of these electronic traps and I use the trick a reviewer wrote and I use a wet sock in front of the trap - ZAP!! We have ZAPPED #5 rats so far. To empty the trap you turn it off, walk over to a trash can and turn the trap upside down - done! No mess! To reset the trap is so simple - set the trap on the ground, rewet the sock in front of the trap and then turn it back on. Most of the time you do not have to rebait it as the rat did not have time to eat the peanut butter ... show more

  • It deserves a 10!
Size: 3 Pack
I received three traps this evening and set them out immediately. In less than 30 minutes the first rat had been eliminated! I picked up the trap, slid the rat into a small trash bag, and deposited it in the dumpster. There was absolutely no mess and no touch. The traps work EXACTLY as advertised. We didn't want to use baits with poison, anticoagulants, neurotoxins, or any other chemicals that could harm people, pets, or any wildlife other than a rat or mouse. This trap was the perfect solution! I am completely satisfied with this product and HIGHLY recommend it. As I noted in the headline, it really does deserve a "10" rating! ... show more

  • The Best Mouse Trapper/Zapper
Size: 3 Pack
These are by far the best mouse trapper I have used. Very easy to bait, dispose and reset. I have bought many of these and simply leave them set up with bait (peanut butter). I have them in multiple places in the basement and in the garage. I can simply do a quick walk around and check for the indicator light to be lit to see if there has been a catch. We have 2 cats (they find mice to be a fun toy but don't kill them) and so far, neither one have been zapped yet. These traps have solved the mouse problem we had over the summer (due to some local construction). ... show more

  • Best Rat or Mouse Killing Trap
Size: 2 Pack
I just bought an old farmhouse that was abandoned due to probate sale. I killed two big adult rats! The first time I put the trap down, that night I caught one big fat rat. I think she was a pregnant female. I emptied, reloaded the peanut butter, (in the little door), RESET (turned off and back on), and left it where I caught the first rat, BOOM! That night I caught big fat rat number two! She was also, a pregnant female. Then, I caught two more young baby rats. The batteries last for 50 resets! I bought two traps... one for the attic, but I caught them all in the laundry room. I emptied right away so there would be no dead rat odor. I also caught some unexpected beetles! Surprise! I felt bad because I love critters of all kinds, but these rodents can carry germs and rabies, and their feces can kill you if you inhale their dust! We must be diligent to keep them out of our homes! They picked the wrong home to occupy! ... show more
