I just got this edger March1, and already it's causing me headaches.. It keeps shutting down after a couple seconds use. It's also awkward to hold and operate. When it does work, it throws debris everywhere and does not make a smooth cut as edge is very ragged. Avoid this edger at all costs. I called VEVOR customer support and they want me to jump through multiple difficult hoops to either replace it or return it. This is my first bad purchase through Amazon ... show more

Works with great deep edge. Battery lasts long ( gets pretty hot 😬) I had an on/ turn off issue- I finally cked the blade/ shield space & it built up a clump on grass/root that clogged- cleaned Works perfectly- pretty powerful

    • SURPRISED is an understatement
Didn't expect much due to low price and barely adequate 20amp battery. Opened box and found it had mostly plastic parts. HOWEVER....was very pleasantly SURPRISED at how well the darn thing worked. AND how long the battery pack lasted (just over 30 minutes of HARD use.) Grass at street edge hadn't been edged in3 years and had grown 4-5" over pavement in places. Unit cut through it, even when I kept hitting the pavement. In just under 30 minutes I'd edged both sides of a 60' long driveway as well as 90+ ' frontage on street. NOT BAD. MUCH better than my previous Black & Decker blade edger. ONLY COMPLAINT...advertised as cutting up to a 6" deep" trench". DOESN'T!!! MAX depth, with setting as deep as possible, is about 3-31/4 " Still, all-in-all, this is a good buy for the price. ... show more

    • not a bad edger, but not without issues
I would have given this item a better rating, but for two issues: 1. the wheel adjustment, which determines the depth of the cut, will not hold. it constantly slips. I fixed this issue by drilling a small hole in the adjustment dial, and putting a machine screw through it. this seems to be working so far. 2. battery life is short. about 15 minutes and the battery is down to 2 bars, and the tool no longer has any strength to cut through the turf. apparently there is no way to purchase an additional battery, I checked with Vevor and did a web search on the battery model number, which is vv-ex2040. that said, this little tool does a nice job of tearing through the thick sod at the edge of my sidewalk and driveways. it's lightweight and easy to handle. I found I can angle the blade, so I can easily undercut the lawn to give me a nice gentle slope, not a cliff, which I don't care for. and the price is right. just wish I could get a second battery for it. ... show more

I received this product and it did not run. I contacted amazon, who then referred me to Vevor. I told them this did not work right out of the box. They told me I had to submit a video to prove it did not work. I did this and they never downloaded the video. The last I heard from them. I spent $115 for something that I will probably just through in the trash. I should have gone to Lowes and got an edger that at least I could return if it didn't work. I am very disappointed in Amazon for marketing a product and then not standing behind it. Amazon is very convenient, but from now on, I go to Lowes. ... show more
