  • Rock-Solid and Reliable! 🛠️
Size: 6 Inch Pattern Name: Jaw
I've been using the VEVOR Bench Vise, and let me tell you, this thing is a game-changer for my DIY projects. The 6-inch jaw width and 5.9-inch jaw opening are perfect for gripping various materials, and the 360-degree swivel locking base is a godsend for those awkward angles. Compared to other bench vises I've tried, this one stands out for its sturdy build and smooth operation. I previously had a cheaper vise, and it felt like it could snap at any moment. But with the VEVOR, I can confidently clamp down without worrying about stability. It's solid and heavy, which means it's not going anywhere once it's mounted. The swivel base is super smooth and locks securely, so I can easily adjust my workpiece without any hassle. Whether I'm working on metal, wood, or plastic, this vise holds everything firmly in place. The price point is also great considering the quality and features. In short, if you're in the market for a reliable and versatile bench vise, the VEVOR is a top-notch choice. It has definitely earned its spot in my workshop! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ... show more

  • Great Vise For The Price!
Size: 4.5 Inch Pattern Name: Jaw
I am a retired automotive repair tech. I have seen many cheap vises in my time. I was wanting just a light duty vise with which to help with some of my hobby projects and to hold my mower blades for sharpening. I was SHOCKED when I found how heavy this little vise is! it operates very smoothly and holds well. The lock on the swivel also holds tight. I have seen many cheap vises that will loosen up on their own and rock back and forth on the swivel base even when the lever is locked down tight. This one does not do that at all. about the only "defect" I can see is that the replaceable jaws do not fit correctly on the sides. One is too long on one side and the other is too long on the other side. (see Photos) But that is not a huge issue in my opinion. Also, I tried "flipping" them to get them to line up with each other, but they cannot be installed upside down, so that squashed that idea. they could be ground flush with each other if it becomes an issue for some reason. Also, I found that the pipe gripping teeth below the main jaw held very well without having to tighten it too much on some 1/2 inch metal conduit. The anvil does not look like it would take a lot of abuse. it is kind of thin. There is not a lot of mass there. Although it could be used with a light hammer to straighten some small things, like maybe nails? All in all, I think that this little vise is fairly well built and is a very good value for the money. ... show more

  • An amazing vice, outstanding value.
Size: 4.5 Inch Pattern Name: Jaw
If you are looking for a extraordinary mid duty vice for an amazing value look no further. This thing is better than most vices I have used that cost upwards of $90. It has excellent grip retention. It doesn’t rattle loose, nothing I have put in the jaws have rocked it’s way out of them due to a bad lock when tightened. It’s actually a lot more heavy duty then I was expecting it to be. Once you lock those jaws where you want them, they remain locked until you loosen the vice. This has always been a big issue for me when using a budget vice. But with this vice it is not an issue. Jaws open a good 3.5” which is more than enough. I mainly use it to hold mower blades, paper cutter blades, or if I’m sharpening a large knife or machete that is in bad shape, and has previously been sharpened by someone who doesn’t know what they are doing on a blade grinder and has put low/high spots. I like to manually work them out with a file, it gives much more control, especially if I’m working with high end knife’s. The anvil can take much more than I thought it would be able to. Full force blows with steel hammer and it’s holding up great, just don’t miss the anvil and you are good to go. For the money, I haven’t found anything better. ... show more

  • Dissapointed. 3 stars for usefulness & durability-4 stars for being pretty but being fairly useless
Size: 6.5 Inch Pattern Name: Jaw
This review is for the 6 1/2" vise. I received the vise in good order. I disassembled it, painted the base because I hated the orange paint, and greased the screw and all the ways. I didn't know what to expect from the reviews, but at the price point I felt it was worth a shot, since the big name vices are all made in China at four times the price and the truly-American-made ones are the price of a new lawn tractor. The Good: The vise is well cast, well machined, the jaws line up well, and at the price point moves and functions well. The reversible feature works exactly as it should and gives an opening range of good size. For running on machined ways, the rotation is smooth. The jaws seem more precise than they really are because the screw is spring-loaded to take up slop and lash in the assembly and keeps the rotating handle tightly against the outer jaw casting. Once the grease wears thin or you get some grit in there that situation may change, but for now? All good. The Bad: This vise is very lightly built. I do not believe it will take much abuse. This vise with 6 1/2" jaws sitting next to my ancient Craftsman 5" vise makes this Vevor vise look tiny. Every effort was made to lighten the castings to save metal. The feet are hollowed out, so I recommend using some thick flat-washers the size of the outside of the feet to reinforce them. I think if you just tighten down the provided bolts, you will be able to crack the feet. The forward jaw casting is very thin. The screw is tiny. It is about 12mm diameter, retained by a flat-washer and bent cotter pin, and poorly machined. The screw on my old 5" vise is over an inch in diameter and retained with a very heavy snap ring. The bottom line is this vise is very light duty and attempting to clamp anything tightly is a recipe for disaster. The components of this vise are similar in size to 3 1/2" to 4" vises that I own, with wide 6 1/2" jaws attached. For the location and use I have planned for it, this is pretty useless for me. But then again, a comparable Wilton 6 1/2" vise will weigh three times as much and cost 4 times as much. I would send it back, but what I am going to do is use it on my welding table where I can fixture large parts in it and not have to really clamp them down. You should never use a cheater bar to tighten a vise, but I guarantee you will break this one if you try. I read a review of a guy who tried to use the vise as a bend break for sheet metal and now it doesn't work right. Based on the quality of the tiny screw and only a cotter pin retaining it, I have no doubt. This is cheap and looks nice at first glance, but i suggest you look elsewhere. ... show more
