  • My mix-up
Color: Royal Blue
I bought this to help diagnose engine issues, but I didn't even think about the end piece not being the right setup. That was my bad though. It's a really good product & hearing through it is phenomenal. I'm going to try to find the end piece I need & hopefully I can just switch them out.

If you bought a $250.00 unit it will NOT do a better job I lost nothing on this purchase and proud to own it, just buy it if you need it, It was for a prop as a doctor character I created for YouTube fun, It actually is fantastic and amazing I scored!

  • Great costume accessory! Can't say when it comes to actual health care...
Color: Black
We purchased this stethoscope for my daughter's doctor costume for Halloween. She wanted a really realistic costume, not just the silly plastic play doctor toys that some costumes come with. This product is cheap enough to be able to buy for a child's accessory (though I realize this item is not marketed toward children! Definitely check out the small parts that could be choking hazards and strangulation hazards). So I realize this item is not sold as a toy for a child's costume, but we went ahead with it any way and were very happy with it. She is allowed to play with the stethoscope in a supervised setting, and she loves it. As for it's function and quality when it comes to REAL healthcare, I can't say. ... show more

  • OK for a first aid kit
This has been in my equine first aid kit for a few years now and is OK for a first check on things. I did find during a more extended illness that when I really needed to monitor my horse for gut sounds it was sometimes difficult to determine if I was hearing faint gut sounds or the slight movements of my fingers holding it. This is the only stethoscope I've owned, but I assume more expensive ones would have some level of noise isolation where you hold/press the diaphragm. I may end up replacing this one for that reason, even though it's still "like new" 4 years after buying it. It's also not super comfortable to use. The earpieces squeeze together pretty tightly and the ear buds are a hard plastic. But all in all I'd say it's fine for the original purpose I bought it for- a first check of vitals before calling the vet. ... show more

  • Want to be a doctor? Start here.
Color: Black
Or a nurse. Nurses use stethoscopes too. Now, this isn't the high-end Resident Surgeon stethoscope. This is the entry-level, get the job done stethoscope. You can hear your heart, other people's hearts (and lungs) [with permission of course]. Also works on cats, dog, and horses. Not so much on small lizards, spiders or other insects. Also, this could be used for cracking old-timey safes on a runaway train perhaps. ... show more

  • Purchased for homeschool science
I purchased two of these for my 5 year old twins to play with. At this price, I figured they would be pretty cheap but fun for a little while. They've been around for a few months now, and they are still in great shape. My kids aren't super-tough on toys, but I'm impressed. The color is really something more like a hot pink - not really like the color in the image. ... show more

I actually got this as a “toy” for grandkids so they could hear their heart. You cannot hear any heart through them.
