  • Exceptional Stethoscope: Raises the Bar with Outstanding Quality and Performance
Color: Black Tube, Black Stem Style: Black-Finish Chestpiece
This Stethoscope Raises the Bar! Although it’s a bit pricey, I can confidently say that it sets a new standard for what a stethoscope should be. From the moment I picked it up, I could tell it was built with high-quality materials and craftsmanship. All I can say is wow! The sound quality is exceptional, making it easy to hear even the faintest heartbeats and lung sounds, which is crucial in my line of work. What’s even more impressive is how many people I've let try it out who also respond with a resounding wow. Many of them end up ordering one for themselves if they can afford it. While it’s not the cheapest option on the market, I genuinely believe it is worth every penny. The performance and durability you get are unparalleled compared to other stethoscopes. I also highly recommend purchasing the hard case that’s specifically designed for this stethoscope. It’s essential for protecting your investment, especially if you accidentally drop it while transporting it. Overall, this stethoscope combines quality, performance, and a touch of luxury, making it an invaluable tool for any healthcare professional. I couldn't be happier with my purchase ... show more

  • This product works exceptionally well with bluetooth enabled hearing aides.
Color: Black Tube, Black Stem Style: Black-Finish Chestpiece
After spending a few hours on the internet I didn't think that I would be able to get a stethoscope that would connect wirelessly to my bluetooth enabled hearing aids. That however, is exactly what the Littmann Core Stethoscope does. In my medical experience (I am a doctor: MD) the Littman cardioscope has always been an excellent instrument. If you are not wearing hearing aids, this instrument amplifies the heart and lung sounds very effectively. That part is unchanged. However, and this is the big news, you can disconnect the headphones from the stethoscope, turn on the Eko app on your bluetooth enabled cell phone (I have an Iphone), select start and connect the CORE device, choose either full cardiac exam or spot check (I prefer the full cardiac exam) and not only do you get a tracing of the heart rhythm, but the heart tones are crystal clear and easily identifiable. I can easily identify my very soft murmur of mild aortic stenosis. One important caveat: be sure that your phone volume setting is about 3 quarters of full volume to full volume. This is the most effective way to get full amplification of the heart tones. I am auscultating heart tones more effectively now (with my hearing impairment) than I was able to do when I had no hearing loss! It's that good. One other point, because you're not tethered to a stethoscope, you can keep a safe distance from those possibly infected patients. I plan to carry the headpiece of the stethecope in my pocket and just use it as such, without the ear pieces. Someone had commented in one of the reviews that I read that said the sounds were "scratchy". I did not experience this problem to any significant degree. You always get a little "scratchiness" with any stethoscope, when you move to different positions on the chest wall. One request of the manufacturer: it would be great if you could manufacture a small cap to cover the opening of the head of the stethoscope (where it connects to the headset tubes) so it doesn't get clogged up in my coat pocket. For all of you hearing impaired medical practitioners, I hope this helps! ... show more

Love! Bought it because I needed the amplification. Works wonderfully! I don’t even want it for the app or extra features, which are excellent. I just need the amplified sound. Perfect.

  • Great sound quality using the stethoscope! Could be so much better.
Color: Black Tube, Black Stem Style: High Polish Copper Chestpiece
I have always used Littmann stethoscopes since beginning my career as a physician. As I have gotten older I have felt that I struggle to hear subtle murmurs etc. The CORE digital attachment is fantastic! I can hear faint murmurs I probably would have otherwise missed. There are several things that I don't like. 1. As a physician who takes care of adult patients only, having a pediatric sized diaphragm is really not useful. This is made even more evident when you consider that the diaphragms tend to swivel very easily. I have found myself frequently having to tap the diaphragm to make sure I have the correct size selected. There is a very small dot on the tubing that I suppose is to help you know which diaphragm you have selected. The problem with the dot, is 1. it is black and blends in with the tubing. 2. When you choose the adult diaphragm, it is almost impossible to see. 2. It would be great if there were several options to choose from with regards to the diaphragm. An adult only, a pediatric only and both. That way physicians, NPs etc. could choose the chest piece that is ideal for the patients they see. 3. I was very disappointed with the sound quality using the app and Apple AirPods Pro. I was hoping to be able to use the CORE attachment when I had to see patients who were in isolation, but the sound quality was very faint. Maybe I didn't have the volume adjusted properly, that is something I will try with different volume settings and see if it makes a difference. 4. The app is ok. I find that it is very cumbersome to try to use the app to record heart sounds. You have get your phone out and open the app, then make sure that the app is connected to the CORE and then you listen to the patient. As busy as most physicians and other care givers are these days, it seems to be something that could be so much better. I can see this being very helpful in an academic setting, where a teaching attending has his medical students or residents listen to a patient while the attending records the sounds on the app. But for the vast majority of users I feel its more of hassle to try and use the app. 5. I have noticed that if you were to leave the CORE on, it will quickly drain the battery. I haven't had an issue with not having enough battery because I turn off the CORE as soon as I am done examining the patient, but it is something to be aware of. All in all, it is great and makes a difference to be able to pick up faint subtle murmurs etc. I would love to give it 5 stars, but it has enough quirks that I couldn't give it 5 stars. Hopefully it will improve with suggestions given by everyday users. ... show more
