I am giving this roost 5 stars on behalf of my turkey poults who adore this roost. At first I wasn't sure they would use it, but they caught on to it quickly and have been using it constantly ever since. It is sturdy, super easy to assemble, and is just the right size for turkey babies a few weeks old. I would guess that approximately 4 young turkey poults could fit on one of these roosts comfortably. (I only have 2, and it works great for them with plenty of room). The only real con I can see with this roost so far is cleaning. We will see how easy it will be to clean this when that time comes and the only thing I can think of for improvement would be to include all 3 perches that are coated, instead of the two without the coating. Otherwise, a wonderful purchase. I would definitely purchase this again if needed. ... show more

Perfect little perch for chicks. It may work for a single bantam but this is the perfect thing for little chicks learning to roost in the brooder. Mine are only 3 days old right now and haven’t made it to the top bar but they’ve been hopping on and off the bottom bars. I have 8 chicks and may need to get another as they grow. It’s a sturdy little perch and super easy to put together. I’d recommend it for chick use but not for full size hens. ... show more

    • Great for Chicks!
The media could not be loaded. Bought this for a chick that were raising to be a show chick, but I wanted something small yet that was on the ground that she could perch on. She does use it when she’s sleeping and it’s great because it’s got like a nonslip part where they can breast their feet.

This is a good idea and my chicks used it a lot but it came apart. I would tighten the wing nuts but they wouldn’t stay on. All the wing nuts came off and disappeared in the bedding. I was hoping to use it with my new chicks but if it easily comes apart, it’s useless. I’ll have to find a different option. ... show more

    • Great for chicks, probably too small for chickens
All six of our chicks like to squeeze on together, but now that they are 3.5 weeks, it really only fits about four comfortably. I can't see how this would be a practical thing for adults chickens, unless perhaps in a cage with a recuperating hen or something. Its fantastic for chicks though!

This is a cute little perch that my chicks love. They’ve been using it since they were 4-5 days old. They are now about 17 day’s old and they can perch on the top bar. Works well, easy to assemble, easy to take out and put back in, which you will need to do to wipe it down. I only wish it cleaned off a little easier. Over all a great product. ... show more

I bought this for my 4 baby chicks. They were about 3 weeks old when I got it. They still love it and try to cram on it at 6 weeks. The only problem I for see with it ,is the bottom pole. It has a rough material on it. I’m assuming it’s for traction. It’s a great thought, but they do not roost on that poll. They roost on the highest poll naturally. So the bottom poll ends up being covered in poop. The material makes it impossible to clean. So once my chicks are intergrated with my hens, I will have to toss it. Over all happy with it though.
