  • Hens love them, no mess
Size: 6-Pack
These work great. I was skeptical, having always used shavings. Nice thing about these nest box pads is that they hold together instead of scattering. And they are really easy to keep clean, and they last for months. No more shavings for this chicken farmer. Tip - sprinkle *diatomaceous earth* under the pads in summer, just as you would with shavings, to control mites. Tip - you know by now *not to use hay*, because tiny critters like to burrow into the stalks and infect your hens. ... show more

  • Easy to use
Size: 6-Pack
These are really good and I can tell the chickens like them. They can grab them with their claws and fluff them up too. They know how to make them comfortable to lay on.

  • Last a while
Size: 6-Pack
I like that you can just pull off layers of the hay as it gets use and remove the dirty parts until it gets to the paper. So it kind of like multiple uses in a single pad. I still think it’s a little pricey for but it works, doubt I can find anything better for cheaper.

  • Works great, stays in the box
Size: 12 Pack
At 1st I was worried we these delivered because they are kind of compacted, but after putting them in the nesting boxes, the hens fluff them up and they stay in the box unlike the pine shavings I used to use. Definitely worth buying!

  • For Guinea and Chickens
Size: 12 Pack
Tried another brand and chickens let us know they were unacceptable so came back to these their favorite - Definitely worth the money they notice and thick last a long time.

  • Good fit and keeps eggs from breaking
The hens like it and while then eventually scratch it out it lasts a while.

  • Unless you plan on replacing every two weeks…
Size: 6-Pack
These were absolutely amazing for the first week, week and a half. They were keeping the eggs super clean and I thought this is it! Soon enough though the hens started ripping them up like hay or straw to make them more comfortable and even then I was still able to kind of make it work because it’s such a thick pad that you can peel off a layer and still have a pretty thick pad. But then came washing time… after 2 weeks they were ripped up and filthy needing a rinse. (Chickens poop when they sleep) so there’s so way around it you plan to replace every two weeks you have to be able to wash it off. Hit it with the hose and it starts to peel away from the paper, like I said they’re pretty thick so if some peels off you still have something to work with but the hose will cause the paper baking to come off the pad and then you have just a pile of ripped up fake hay and it’s not good. They pretty much fell apart. So like I said above, unless you plan on replacing these every 2 weeks or so these are just not a sustainable option. Plus they don’t seem to decompose very quickly (I don’t even know what they’re made of, I should’ve probably looked into that) but it feels like plastic-y) and then it just causes more trash/mess. ... show more
