Laying Hen Nest Box Pads from Cackle Hatchery give your hens more comfort in the nest box and help ensure eggs are laid in a soft, secure, and clean nest. Our nest box pads help draw moisture down and away from the hen and her eggs. They are easy to put into nest boxes and easy to remove so maintaining a clean nest box is easier than ever. Our pads are manufactured from Great Lakes aspen excelsior fibers and brown kraft paper. Excelsior pads have been used for decades by our hatchery to ensure baby chick wellbeing and now developed thicker for the wellbeing of hens and their eggs. Also for use in chick brooders. • Chickens love these
Size: 24 Pack
Super clean and can use for long time

  • Easy to use
Size: 6-Pack
These are really good and I can tell the chickens like them. They can grab them with their claws and fluff them up too. They know how to make them comfortable to lay on.

  • Works great, stays in the box
Size: 12 Pack
At 1st I was worried we these delivered because they are kind of compacted, but after putting them in the nesting boxes, the hens fluff them up and they stay in the box unlike the pine shavings I used to use. Definitely worth buying!

  • Last a while
Size: 6-Pack
I like that you can just pull off layers of the hay as it gets use and remove the dirty parts until it gets to the paper. So it kind of like multiple uses in a single pad. I still think it’s a little pricey for but it works, doubt I can find anything better for cheaper.

  • Good fit and keeps eggs from breaking
Size: 24 Pack
The hens like it and while then eventually scratch it out it lasts a while.

  • For Guinea and Chickens
Size: 12 Pack
Tried another brand and chickens let us know they were unacceptable so came back to these their favorite - Definitely worth the money they notice and thick last a long time.

  • Hens love it!
Size: 12 Pack
Our hens have liked these pads better than anything else we’ve tried. Despite the girls aggressively fluffing them up, they hold together. We tried silicone pads for easier cleaning but they were not a hit. We have better egg production and our little flock seems happy when everything is fluffed up. These are easy to remove to shake out waste & feathers. We have been able to use them for about a month or more. We recently built a larger coop… if this is available in a 16 x 40 piece or roll, we would love it! ... show more

  • Nice but way overpriced
Size: 12 Pack
These are impossible to clean, and the chickens shred and throw the contents all over. Had an egg break in one and it had to be thrown out and for this price, that's not good. For over $3 each, that's kind of steep . If the chickens don't tear them up, they work really well but mine like to dig in them and make a mess. The bedding is glued to a paper backing so these are not cleanable. ... show more
