  • This machine has pretty good Quality
Color: Red&Black
This machine has pretty good quality 1. Upon arrival, packaging is really well prepared, the box is well packed and taped, opening the box, there are cushions around the metal parts (cartons and bubble wrapped well). And thin flat wood parts around the box. 2. Upon opening, the parts look good, minor scratches since there are many small parts but if not bec of the carton and bubble wrap it could have been worse. (No issues there). But actually this one is good so far and I’ve ordered many heavy gym equipments, all in my garage so I can tell what a good packaging is. 3. The metal parts are built pretty strong and sturdy, not industrial grade but what I can not get over with is that the pulleys run smooth. If PRECOR in my local Planet Fitness gym would score a 10/10, I would give this an 8/10. It’s there, the quality is good for some brand I just heard of. 4. Assembling took about 1.5 hours since I kept on getting disturbed by my little minions. I did it by myself. Instruction is just a diagram but very straight forward. Easiest part is putting the cables. PS: I suggest you Youtube the Valor Fitness BD-62 for installing the cables it might be a little tricky for non-experienced ones. It is sturdy even when not screwed to the wall, and very sturdy when bolted to the wall. Minor noise during use or might just be too quiet in my garage. It’s tall but the top most hole might be too low for somebody that is 6’2” or above, but the adjustable handles work as a charm meaning it makes up for somebody that’s really tall like 6’5” so don’t worry about that part. I’ve seen people put wood blocks to bring it higher, I didn’t do that bec it looks ugly. Peace. 5. The welds are the only things I would give 4/5 stars. They are not perfect which I fully understand and I’m sure it will not affect the usage and integrity of the pulley system but I’m just used to seeing welds on my bikes (Trek and Specialiezed) which are almost perfect and evenly spaced. Not a deal breaker, and besides it’s a little over $200 only. My smaller bike is way more expensive so that’s expected. 6. Lastly, customer service is superb. They’re like Anker electronics. Fast reply after I emailed them. They never left me hanging, and easy to talk to. THUMBS UP VANSWE. I hope you have more gym stuff to sell. ... show more

  • Great addition to any home gym
Color: Red&Black
After months of research I finally decided to buy this machine and so far its been an amazing addition to my home gym. I’m able to do so many additional workouts that I could not hit with just normal free weights. The machine comes in one box and is packaged really well. I consider myself a handy guy but the directions are very intimidating at first but the best method for building this thing is to have an extra set of hands which will help a huge amount and work your way up. What I mean to say the directions have no words and they only show a diagram of where everything goes its really hard to explain but you’ll understand when you have them in front of you; so when I say work your way up start at the bottom build the foundation and work to the top. Having a socket set will help and an adjustable wrench is a must have. The cabling itself is very confusing because once again there are no words only pictures and arrows so best bet is once again start on when one point then work across each wheel. Other than that assembly is simple the further you get along with each piece it gets easier. You will have to do some modification depending on where you put this machine for me I put this in my basement against dry wall. What I did was get a piece of plywood and mount it against the mounting bracket for additional support since I’m not a fan of using dry wall anchors and wanted to mount it against studs. I just painted it the same color as the wall to make it blend in more. Compared to the other cable machines I feel like they are all similar and they all need some sort of modification needed to perfect the machine. All the research I did people recommended adding some height to overall structure to help with different exercises, I added some 2x4 on the front and back to raise it a little bit more, zip tired the pieces to the wood to just hold it place with the frame and its helped (I’m 5’10). Something else I did was I went to a local hardware store and bought a flat piece of metal and drilled three holes to have the ends of cables be one piece the picture I have attached makes more sense. This helped with the load management because when using the cable sides independently makes it a little awkward motion so I wanted to center it for a more of even weight distribution. The reason why I’m giving it 4 stars and not 5 is because I feel like the cable machine does not have enough cable resistance and retractability so that part is a bit annoying but for the price its understandable. I will post any updates with any problems or concerns. Update March/April 2020: After almost 6 months of use one I finally ran into my first issue on the machine which was the cable machine small retractable piece to adjust the cable broke then subsequently fell into the framing. I reached out to customer service via email and they responded in less than 2 hours and shipped a replacement out to me that day. Just got the part in the mail and they were so nice that they gave me 2 of the parts in case this happens again. Changing to 5 stars because the customer service was unbelievable and they sent the parts out to me free of charge. Other than that part breaking I have had zero issues. ... show more

  • Good value
Color: Black
I’ve had it for a week and use it pretty much 4 days a week and it’s great. The more weight is on it the smoother it is. It has a lot of resistance so I had to purchase some change plates for things like lateral raises because the resistance of the cables feels like it’s adding an extra 5 pounds. On the cable machine at the gym I can do lateral raises with 10-15 pounds but I can only handle putting 5 total pounds (2x 2.5 lb change plates) on this machine because 10 pounds feels like 15 pounds, which matters when you’re going to failure for 3 sets. Installation wasn’t too difficult but it took a couple of hours with 2 people, would’ve been quicker if the instructions weren’t only pictures, descriptions would’ve helped speed the process along. This was the last piece of equipment that I needed to ditch my gym membership. I truly feel like it’s worth buying to get a well rounded workout at home ... show more

  • Great for the price!
Color: Black
This cable machine was bought to go into our home gym. It's the perfect size. It really can't stand alone. It must be secured to the wall or it's basically useless because pulling anything over 5 pounds will make it fall over. We had a handyman secure it with bolts all the way through the wall and into the garage. That thing is going nowhere which is awesome. We can load the bar up and pull away with no worries. It was easy to put together relatively speaking. The pulleys aren't that complicated. I assembled the entire unit by myself and I'm a woman. Took me about an hour. Directions are ok enough to follow. Pulling is easy and flows nicely. Great attachments come with it. It's quiet and feels sturdy. Would recommend. ... show more
