Took a slight risk spending the extra money on this over the much cheaper, more basic trap bars, especially when it appeared to be a newer item with not too many reviews. This bar completely exceeded my expectations, best trap bar ive ever used. The whole thing is very well made and just feels really solid, very nice piece of equipment. The bars you load the plates on sits high enough so even 45 plates dont touch the ground, thus making it VERY easy to load plates on and off, fantastic improvement over the basic trap bar. The spinning handle with 3 grips is perfect as well. All 3 feel comfortable and deliver in different ways. The thick one is basically a fat grip built onto the bar, that thing wrecks your forearms. You can even bent over bar bell row with it and it works even better than my barbell. Overall extremely satisfied and somewhat surprised just how high quality this bar turned out to be, you will not be dissapointed. Waited to review so I could use it awhile. It’s really a good bar. Yes, you can’t overhead press, but it works great for trap dead’s, rows and shrugs. I use it for carries as well. Well constructed and putting it together was a breeze.

Excellent quality bar. Solid construction. Easy to assemble. (Using your own tools) The design of this bar allows / enforces proper form for deadlifts. The grips are really abrasive brand new. I suggest gloves or grip tape for comfort, especially as you add weight. It does come with spring clamps, but I recommend grabbing the clamp lock style as these tend to catch the ridges on the Olympic size bar. I don’t regret spending the extra money on this over the cheapie bars. It is obvious that this thing is built to last. ... show more

I am a 55 year old petite woman and my husband is a normal sized man. We wanted to increase bone and muscle mass and decided on a Hex Bar to do this. The adjustable handles fit my size perfectly because my shorter arms don't have to stretch wide (like with most men's sized Hex Bars in the gym.) The closest setting is just right for my shorter arms and the farthest setting is great for my husband's size. My arms in a more normal placement, closer in for the lift. He can adjust to the wider handle position for his lift. It's a win-win for us! Smaller women should get this one - you can keep good form and lift heavy with it! ... show more

This is a great hex bar! The varied grips are really helpful to build strength. The elevated plate setup makes changing plates a breeze. Super easy to set up. There was a bit of rust powder within that shook out over the first couple of uses...no biggie. SOLID. Totally woth the extra price for the features. Great product much safer and better for the body and center of gravity while using it to perform deadlift or different way to work legs or also to do shrugs. Much more comfortable to use for these types of lifts compared to the old traditional way. Keeps weight centered to middle of body instead of having weight high up on shoulders behind the neck or pulling a deadlift and traditionally the weight would be more forward possibly resulting in injury. ... show more

Finally got around to set this up and one of the brackets is welded poorly making the alignment of the bracket off and the product unusable.
