    • Worked perfect for our garage door windows
The sun used to shine in through our garage door windows - about 8 square ones across the top - and it would heat up the garage so bad you couldn’t even go out there! Put these on the windows and it’s amazing how much cooler it is now! They were easy to put up - just make sure you cut the piece larger than the window and use an exacto knife to cut off the excess after you get it on the window. So happy we got these!!! ... show more

    • If You're Buying for a Betta Tank - Don't
I bought this to put on the back of my betta's tank, on the outside as a background. It was easy to install, tho the matte side is a bit rough so he probably thought there was a monster roaring at him when I ran the included straight edge across it. And suddenly my chill little betta boi was no longer chill, flaring as big as he could at the entire wall of his tank! Until I peeled it off and he could see the bookshelf and wires behind once again. But he even went ballistic at his own tank lid when I set it aside to feed him later, which he's seen in that position every day and is just black, non-reflective plastic. So he might now have a bad association with large black items. I was a little mystified, but eventually was able to see the adhesive side is just reflective enough that he can see himself. It was, of course, removed from the tank permanently because I don't want him permanently stressing. I'm going to keep the roll, as it will be useful somewhere and there was nothing wrong with it. Its also very nice the company included the basic tools to install it (fabric ruler, plastic paddle, box cutter), but I just wanted to let fellow betta keepers know of the dangers of the shiny black monster. ;) Oh, let me add - it can be cut in a regular paper cutter. ... show more

The room that needed this film most is on the east side of the house, and commonly gets up over 80 degrees (swamp cooler, not a/c), so I wrestled this mirrored film, all bubbly, wet, and soapy into the equally bubbly, wet, and soapy window, squeegeed the excess moisture out... and it's about a good as it's going to get. Trimming anything to measure with my shaky hands isn't a walk in the park... but now, the light comes in, the heat isn't as bad, and the privacy is flawless! Will definitely buy more for the other windows... bubbly, soapy, watery application and all! ... show more

I got the smallest selection for sizing. I will say it is about enough to do one standard sized American house window. If you don't care about doing it in patches. So if you are a perfectionist, I would order the biggest size you can. It works good, the heat in my room is a lot less during the day. During the day you can only see outside. About 8pm on a summers evening, you can start to see through the glass. It works and does what I thought it would do and is very affordable. Came with a ruler squeegie, small razor, directions are tucked into the roll. Only complaint is it is very hard to peel apart protective film layer, but once you figure it out it becomes easier. ... show more

    • What a Pain to Install!!!
I finally got both sections of my storm door done; but, it took forever. I ruined one piece; but, still had just enough for this job. That clear stuff you have to peel off was a nightmare! First, you can't get a hold on it to pull it off. Second, once you do get a hold of it, it is almost impossible to get off in one piece. Once you get it off, watch out because if you don't, the tint can easily get stuck together. That was how I ruined one piece. It does not come apart easily. After smoothing for what seemed like forever, I got almost all the bubbles out and the job looked pretty darn good. It really keeps that morning sun at bay so I'd say it will be worth the money and aggravation by keeping heat out of the kitchen. The little yellow smoother was handy; but, I also used a rubber, flat-edged pancake turner for smoothing it out - worked good. ... show more

This film is darker then expected, it lets 15% of the Sun light through on western facing sky at night. I didn’t buy it for privacy, so that didn’t matter to me. I bought it the keep the blazing hot sun out of my workshop, which has the overhead door facing west. The trick in my opinion, spray, spray, spray the soap fluid. Spray the film when stripping the clear backing as you go. Flood it, then spray the window again. Squeegee with the tool provided, trim to size and squeegee again. ... show more

My "roll" came in three (3) Pieces.. .One cut like an "L" shape. Looked like someone used it before it arrived. I attempted to create a seam, but looks terrible, so I will remove it and toss in the trash.
