    • Great Powered USB hub
I don't see why Amazon asks for a rating on the weight of the hub. If your buying a powered USB hub it's going to have much more heft than a regular hub. Adding to this, It is not lightweight, It's actually got some heft and feels ok incredibly well built! It's got an all metal chassis, the buttons feel great, its got both a USB and USB-C for connection to your device and has individual powered USB control for each device. I believe the buttons control USB power to the port, not connectivity. So low power devices will probably still connect with the power button off. I'm using this hub as an extension for my Sim Racing setup and it's great. Everything can plug into here, I can move the hub where I want, I don't have to worry about not having enough power for my devices I plug in and the hub doesn't introduce any latency that I've noticed at all so far. It's great, The build quality really threw me off when I held it for the first time. If your gonna buy a USB hub, this is the one. ... show more

    • Works very well
I own a lot of devices that use USB chargers. This device has been in constant daily use since I got it 10 weeks ago and it's worked flawlessly. Good quality unit given the inexpensive price. No idea why they would expect me to give a camera rating on a charger, but it will never take a picture.

    • The card reader stopped working. Customer Service was excellent. See several updates below.
See Updates below. At first, this solved my problem of not having enough USB ports on my laptop. I have two external hard drives, a printer, mouse, and keyboard, plus I plug in chargers and other devices part of the time. I have a Go Pro camera, and always take the SD card out and plug it in to the computer to download video. It is many times faster than plugging the camera in. This is where the Hub failed me..... It has an SD card reader, and a micro SD card reader, which I really liked..... Until they both quit working. The USB ports still work, but if I plug a card in the card reader, the little light in the Hub comes on, but it does not show up on the computer. I am hoping I can get this issue resolved with the seller. Updates later. Update: I just noticed that on the product page description in now says "Please note: this USB Hub does not support Video output. I don't think that was on there when I bought it, but I could be mistaken. Funny thing is, it DID work to transfer video from the card to the computer files when I first got it. Then it stopped doing it after about 4 months of use. I just tried a card with non-video files, and it still does not work. I am trying to get in touch with the seller to see if this can be resolved. Update 5-23-22: The company responded via email. They said it should work with video files. After several back-and-forth emails asking me to try re-formatting my SD card, etc, they finally agreed to send me a replacement. It arrived in a few days. The replacement fails to show an SD card in either slot, just like the old one after it failed. This one did not work right out of the box. Obviously this is an issue with this USB Hub. I am changing my rating to one star. Update May 31st, 2022: After getting frustrated with the replacement not responding, I left this thing alone for a while. Marstech Customer Service did not give up, and contacted me later, still offering to help. I tried it again, and the SD slot started working. The Micro SD slot still was not working, but then started working after a few more tries. Kinda funky, but at this point, the replacement is working okay. I am changing my rating to 4 due to the good customer service, and the fact that it is now working. I hope it does not have a relapse! Update June 7, 2022: Relapse! The card reader portion stopped working. I tried their suggestion of uninstalling and re-installing the device in Device Manager, but could not get it to come back. However, after informing Marstech, they refunded the purchase price without being asked. I feel the company responded promptly and well each time, and did everything they could to make it right with me. 5 stars for Customer Service! ... show more

    • Excellent powered hub perfect for Mac Mini
Works perfectly with my new Mac Mini M1. The 2020 Mini's have a limited number of USB ports, and this hub more than satisfies that constraint. I have the hub connected using the Thunderbolt/USB C port on the Mini. My WD 4TB external drive and printer connect and work well through the hub. Time Machine backups to the external drive work perfectly. The build quality is excellent with the sturdy aluminum case. That every USB port is powered is a huge plus. The on/off buttons with activation lights are a great feature. The SD card reader as an added bonus also works well. It is very light, though, and tends to flop around on the desk easily if not careful, but I suppose that's intended for portable travel users. All in all an excellent hub, especially for the new Mac Mini. ... show more

    • Solid little powered hub.
updated: It was my USB-C port which died. I tried the second cable that's included, and it works fine in a USB 3.2 slot. User error. I absolutely loved this device, up until it died one night, for no apparent reason. I use a larger version of this model at work, and bought the smaller one for home use. It still delivers power via the USB ports, but there's no data connection to my PC. I've gone through all the typical USB troubleshooting (device manager, etc)... it just refuses to make a data connection. ... show more

First of all I am impressed by the customer service. Representative Daisy reached out and wanted to know if I had any issues using the product. A second email was received and again she was inquiring about the item. Following this latest query I finally connected the device using the USB-A cable. I ran it through the paces, such as charging my Note 9, various media cards, flash/external hard drives; no issues were encountered. The relatively small compact form factor did not take up space on the desk and aluminum design made it look both clean and attractive with the in use lighted ports. This replaced my previous USB hub that I have had for 6 years that recently died. Highly recommend this for your media devices that you need to connect to. ... show more

    • Broke after one power outage.
I have a very solid setup for electricity, and this product was plugged into an outlet with safety switches, etc. The very first power outage and it doesn't work anymore. No rhyme or reason why. The printer cable still plugs in, and it flashes blue as if connected, but there's no way to turn the individual plugs on or off. Busted junk. Will use another company. ... show more
