Neither of the 2 USB3.0 ports do not work on this device. I'm unable to fit a flash drive without risk of breaking the device and/or flash drive. However, after reading several positive customer reviews, I will assume this defect could be an isolated issue.

due to the fact that it connects right into the side of the computer as opposed to having a cord, cannot use with a case, and also must always be on a very flat surface (which can be hard sometimes). Not good for traveling, not a good design. get one with a cord attachment instead

I bought the dongle and then a year later bought a case for my computer since I was going back to school and wanted it protected. The dongle has to be flush to the side of the laptop and so I cannot use the bottom part of my case with the dongle. I was taking the case on and off but I need the dongle so I risk the damage to my laptop. Im planning to buy a different one soon since I would like to use my laptop case and not break my computer.
