  • Awesome customer service
I received this with a broken part. Contacted the company and was quickly sent a replacement part. A+ The product itself looks well made and I've only used it to burn off any manufacturing oil or chemicals. The only thing that would make this little stove better is a grate to keep the coals raised to help with air flow. All in all I would buy again if needed. ... show more

  • Superb!!
I was excited to get this "little" stove, and it is impressive. I was able to get a fire started fairly quickly. With the small opening it poses a pecular start. Once I got some larger twigs in there it was going along nicely. I was able to boil some water for hot chocolate while I was out there. The fire maintained itself really with the stove pipes drawing the smoke up very well. The stove weight and build is a very good balance. Quality materials were used and everything seemed very machined. The pipes are made with a heavy gauge single wall stainless steel, comes with a flue brush. The legs went on very quickly and seem super stable. The tool for the door worked very well. Using the tool on the damper was good until it was getting hotter. It became hard almost stuck to try to move it. I didnt get a chance to see about adjusting it. I will probably keep it in the most open position as that allowed for an awesome burn and very nice heat. I did not have to drill any additional holes. You will want to quarter small logs mostly for this stove. Twigs worked well and the 3" log did get caught up in the flame after a bit. Great stove, the discriptions on the site are all there and accurate. So know what your buying so you can maximize your joy, hahaha! Great product, I highly recommend! The first picture is day 2! ... show more

  • Stove pipes stick together
I was impressed with the stove and was very excited to use it! I did set it up before taking it out to burn the paint as was suggested. It turned out a good thing that I only put 2 joints of stove pipe together because afterwards I couldn't get them apart. After much struggle and some damage got them apart. I ended up grinding the ends of the pipe to make a bit smaller which seemed to work. But after using the stove on a horse camping trip the pipes are all stuck together. Also i had a bit of trouble with smoke wanting to come out the door even when closed and creosote leeking out of seams. It did keep the tent warm though as it was freezing temps at night! ... show more

  • Poor quality stove
The stove preformed well during most of the trip, however when I went to disassemble it there were 2 major issues. 1) The stainless steel pipes had fused together, I'm sure I can get them apart but it will take some work. 2) The flange that connects the stove to the vent stack snapped off. It appears to be pressing in or possibly tack welded onto the stove but either way the connection is very poor quality. This had rendered it unusable and I will be returning it. ... show more

  • Good product for the price
For the price it a good value. Light weight and very simple set. Easy peasy! My first fire.. I noticed it didnt draft well, even with the draft control and vent in front of stove. I used heated seasoned wood as well. I ended up drilling 6 tiny holes in back of stove. After the next fire vented very well and the front draft lever worked as it should. So beware you may need to fabricate. For the price and what I needed it to do, it's good. It took 5 minutes to drill the holes. Also the stove pipe... pure hell to detached. After I pieced them together, 2 forester later. I was packing up for a winter camping trip... the stove pipes are still stuck together. Major bummer. ... show more

  • Several burns, no issues!
I have used this stove for two camps and just for fun once. Works great for a cheap little stove. I wish it had a damper! The pipes will stick together and you won't be able to get them apart. In a true backpacking situation this could be an issue but I just loaded it up in the truck as the stack.

  • Works great, compact, awesome price!
The media could not be loaded. Let me start off by saying, I'm new to the camp stove game, but I'm really enjoying this little stove. I haven had any issues with air flow or smoke when burning in this stove. I have burned pine but I mostly use birch wood. Thoses things really get going in this little stove. It is true that the 6 feet of flute segments can become stuck (really stuck) after burning due to build up. This is easily fixed by spraying (when cool) the connections with a tiny bit of WD-40 foam, allow it 1min to loosen the grime between the male/female connection. Then twist lose. Clean with paper towel......BAM!, your ready for your next outing. I'm surprised no one has tried this method yet....it works! Also I use a bubble level to tilt the firebox ever so slightly downward (extendable legs help here) in the front to assist in pulling the smoke away from the door. The air flow does the work, sucking from front (door) to the (flute) in the back. The legs also connect to the firebox via threads that are exposed to ash and heat so tapping those also with WD-40 goes a long way keeping them from getting stuck as well. I hope this helps someone out there because this really is an awesome stove when kept in good condition. ... show more

  • I JUST HAVE THAT FEELING! 🤗😉
It arrived today! I had to agonizingly wait a whole day! Delivered around 10am so yeah, on time! This is my first ever stove so it already holds a sentimental value. I made a good decision, I can just feels it. I did fully assemble this bad boy (though the picture is without the chimney pipe). It just looks like I needed it. It feels so solid and comes well organized. Every spec has its own stuff sack which goes inside a nifty little duffle. Can’t wait for a cold day, and another, and another! IT WAS UNDER $100 PEOPLE!!! Thanks Caribou! ... show more
