I purchased this to maintain my boat batteries. The beauty of using a solar panel for this is that there is no need to drape an electrical cord over the water to the boat. So far, I have not had any low charge issues with the batteries since using it.

Just received it took it out on the lake with my trolling motor battery and sure did charge it while on the lake, but had to disconnect the trolling motor from battery, to to it's job charging, will not charge with a load on it.

UPDATE: So after my not so pleasant experience with the product, I was contacted by the company and after a few email exchanges, photos and explanations, they fully refunded my money even though my return window was past. Just for that I will do business with them in the future if the need arises. So I bought this a month ago as i was leaving my car for that period of time. The batterry was brand new and i connected this and immediately the green light came on and i was pleased by the ease of attaching it to the car battery. Came back home yesterday and the battery was completely dead. The panel still has the green light on. Exactly what is it charging? Irritated! Waste of money ... show more

Surprised that it actually works so well. It keeps my Mazda's battery fully charged even after sitting for two weeks or more. I mounted it on the hood, which gets about half a day of direct sunlight under the car port and that seems to be enough to keep the battery charged.

These panels work amazing. I bought 2 for my boat batteries that were almost dead. Within a few days of attaching these panels, my batteries are fully charged. I live in the keys so we have a lot of sunshine, but a lot of storms too. They stay put on my boat with no issues. Highly recommend.

This product was great when it was working but after 9 months it stopped working. Tried getting a hold of the manufacturer and waiting for a response. Not sure if they are willing to replace it or if ot has any kind of a warranty.
