I have to say I was skeptical about this product once it arrived because it seemed like it might be flimsy, and it did arrive with a small split in the side of one of the wall panels. The directions were straightforward and I was able to build it myself with a screwdriver, though I absolutely recommend using a power drill instead for the purpose of saving time. I am thrilled to report that once this was fully assembled, all worries I previously had about the stability of the hutch disappeared altogether. I have had this hutch for 2 months now, and my buns have been in it for almost a month with no issues whatsoever! This comfortably houses 2 rabbits that are small-mid size; if you have a large pair, then this is not the hutch for you unless they are able to have most of their time spent outside the hutch. I have a playpen attached to the front now so they can enter and exit of their own will, and they still spend a decent amount of time inside it because they like it so much. I am also elated that this hutch has removable wiring on the bottom; I first had it set up with the wiring but my rabbits were not thrilled so I was able to remove it and they love it! The sliding bedding trays on both levels make clean up a breeze-no leaking to report here! Considering all the feedback on various vendors: Easy to unpacked. All parts accounted for and easy to follow directions. Completed habitat in 30 minutes without assistance. RECOMMENDATION before use—treat with a anti-natural chew natural spray recommended by your vendor ranch store-I’ll cover that again at the end of this review. Before installing the casters; I would recommend securing them with a piece of fitted wood (with longer screws) on the leg area then attach the casters. The wood is soft and subpar stained with spots missing, some scratches and a few chips and such-yet, cute and so far worth the money. I would recommend sealing it for outside weather using deck stain/waterproof. Pre-drilling shouldn’t be needed, but I chose to pre-drill MOST holes, I DID NOT HAVE ANY WOOD SPLIT OR BREAK. The rabbit habitat has some minor chips and such, the engineering of this habitat is adorable, functional, and will need to be sprayed with NO CHEW/ anti-chew to prevent the animal from eating this wooden habitat. I sprayed our new habitat with bitter spray and the rabbit gets plenty exercise so far…no chewing, spray may need to be reapplying as needed-ask your vet!! This male Rex mix rabbit is 7 pound and just fits, two rabbit would be cramped. I would seal outer habitat if placed outside and NOT in direct sun. I also flipped the bottom inside strays as the ribbon was to face up-odd- bunny may enjoy chewing this as he gets use to his new home or bitter spray wears off. Would recommend!!! ... show more

Updated Review:I left a review on this product. While I was aware of others complaints; I purchased this product anyway. Those compaints were founded. I have 2 six-week old lion head bunnies that I bought this product for; they seem to by happy with it. I put the product together myself, without help. Basically, I used the pictures to make it work. The Cons The product had rusty nails The letters did not corrospond with the piece it was supposed to be Wood was split in a few different places. The wiring is not sturdy. The animals do chew on the wood - it would be nice if the wood was treated prior to purchase to keep them from chewing on it and to help it withstand outside weather. Unable to clean cage without taking the rabbits out. The rabbits nails scratching on the floor keeps the family up while they play. The positives: I like the color and design of the cage. I like that it has brakes and rolls (easy for moving the cage without upsetting the animals and to clean under it). I like it has 2 floors - so the bunnies have plenty of room to play. The cage is kept in doors - in my room. So it conserves space. I like it has doors on both levels and the top opens. The cage has a bed, food, water, and litter boxes on both levels. So, not perfect but it works for us. I have added a metal feeder on the lower floor (for oats and pellets) which I had to cut the wires to fit it, They have a hay feeder added to the first floor and water bottles on both floors. Cage was more sturdy once put together but definately NOT a good cage for outdoors. Their response: Hi Kaise, We are so appreciate for your kindly suggestions and it do help us a lot ! The Cons The product had rusty nails We will change the supplier for the metal fitting in furture products by using stainless steel. We will do improvement on the packing. The wiring is not sturdy. We will check if we can use more sturdy wiring. Yes, we already upgrage by add a door from the first floor to the second floor so that rabbit can lock on one of the floor when you need to clean the tray. The rabbits nails scratching on the floor keeps the family up while they play.
