This set works pretty perfect for my Jetta. I will say there is slight indents if I tighten them too much but they pop back out. I will say, wash sand off your kayak first because if it's on it it will run off and end up under the pads and scratch.

These pads are made of good quality matertial and are super easy to install. Was able to attach them to my car and load my kayak in a matter of minutes. They include a storage bag and all the straps needed to keep your kayak safe and secure. This product is very nice but 1 out of 2 of the front and back tie hooks are defective. I returned them only to find the same issue. I am so glad it came apart prior to driving as this would have detached while driving….there is no lip on one peg on both sets I received.

The media could not be loaded. update one year later! Hindsight, I should’ve never bought this. It has been challenging to use and the band that holds the kayak down snapped last night when I was leaving the lake and driving home it scared the hell out of me! I had to stop at the side of the road and tie not in it so that I can get home safely! I use this about 10 times over the last year give it take a few times however it should be more durable and stronger and last longer. Finish the instruction manual and add everything step in detail start to finish in order add better photos! Instructions are incomplete and caused me anxiety. The black and red pulley string needs a clasp to lock it in place instead of tying. ... show more
