Installed in 2020 Dodge Ram 1500. Works smoothly. Easy install. Took about 15 minutes to install the first one, and and 5-10 minutes to install the second on. I liked the first one so much, I got one for the other side. With these on, you could put about 2 or so sheets of plywood in the back end of the pickup UNDER the Swingcases. If you had a large load of 4x8 material, you could just take these off, load the plywood, drywall, etc and then just set these on top or in back seat til you get the material unloaded then just put these back on. To take these on and off, it literally takes about 5-10 seconds. If you are wondering if they are theft risk because they come on and off so easy, they aren't. You can lock a little mechanism that comes with the Swingcase so that they can't be removed until you remove the gadget with the key. This would add an additional 10 seconds to the removal time. I have the locking gadgets on mine right now, with the key for them in the center console. The lids on the boxes themselves lock also, with the same key that locks them in place. When they are locked in place (as in theft proof), they sill swing open. I gave only 4 stars because they are not made of a heavy duty plastic that I have seen on other pick storage boxes (just rectangle ones, not swinging ones). Some of the boxes you see are made from a kind of black plastic that you can just tell is practically bullet proof and crack proof. These are good plastic, but that "upper tier" that I've seen on other black plastic storage boxes. Probably not a huge deal, as these do not bang around in the back of a pickup. They stay in place, so they should last for a very long time. They do cover up the bed lights, but if a person wants to, they can swing the boxes, and the lights will now light up the back end. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Just received and installed mine today. Been needing something to keep my tools from sliding around in the bed of my truck but was hesitant to buy this because I was unsure if I would be able to latch the handle of my new hard tonneau cover. Fortunately it tucks in just behind it perfectly. In order to latch and unlatch the tonneau cover, you do have to swing the swing case out first but it works! Aside from part of the hing being broken as shown in the pictures, it seems to be good quality. Installing was super easy taking less than 5 minutes. The only issue I foresee is not being able to access the tie down located underneath the mounting bracket. I will keep this review updated with any changes. ... show more

I wasn't paying attention, and accidentally bought Chinese knockoffs of this product from a different site. In no time at all, the brackets bent, rendering them useless. I was going to give up, but decided to try the one I wanted originally, UnderCover SwingCase. So glad I did. After a few weeks of working with it, I also replaced the driver's side. They are exactly what I wanted!! Sturdy, solid, and easy to install. I couldn't be happier! When shopping,don't fall for the unbranded ones, if it doesn't have the SwingCase logo on it, you won't be satisfied! I plan on buying more products from UnderCover in the future. I have a soft tonneau now, will be replacing with UnderCover's Ultra Flex cover when I have the money. Love this UnderCover's quality. And all products are MADE IN THE USA!!!!!! ... show more

Was a pretty easy install. I purchased the passenger side version and feel like it would have been easier to install if I was left handed. Six holes and you’re done. I used a hand ratchet and not a power driver and the included screws were ok. Definitely drill pilot holes! Then a touch of light oil on the screws make them go in much more easily. Overall it’s decently sturdy, however I highly doubt it’s water tight. The top was slightly warped out of the box, so it’s not an even fit all the way around. Luckily this is under a tonneau cover. Plenty of clearance top and bottom. I loaded it with several draw bars/hitch balls and tie downs and it seems ok. The pivot lock is rubbish. Feels like I could pop it off with my finger. Also, would be nice if they offered some way to key it similarly to other locks (tonneau, racks, etc) or offered a combo lock option. Too many keys!! Will update if anything changes with use. ... show more

2020 RAM Laramie: So easy to install in less than 1/2 hr. No need to pre drill holes, just use the self taping screws that are provided. Just follow the instructions as far as height and positions along with pre-marking where you will drill into and go for it. I live in a bumpy 1 mile of dirt road and so far it's holding up fine with tool kit inside the box, I was a bit disappointed that the box is a bit smaller than what I imagined since I was used to my RAM BOX on my 2013 trade in. I wish the manufacture would consider making them bigger since my truck bed can accommodate it. The ability to take it off easily and get it out of the way if needed is awesome along with it being able to be locked not only on the lid but by getting a padlock and preventing from someone to carry it off. I have a tonue cover so I don't worry about locking. MADE IN THE USA IS WHAT MAKES ME HAPPY TO INVEST IN IT AND INVEST IN US JOBS. ... show more

This tool box is a little pricey, but installs quickly and easily and works very well! It latches quickly and easily and 100%of the time, by just swinging it back. It's a decent, sturdy plastic. It swings very well and smooth. It uses a good amount of bolts to ensure it's secure. It has a lock for the hinge as well as a lock for the top. Unfortunately, this came with a broken hinge. There is no place to replace, nor, where item arrived broken, in the item description. I do want the passenger side box, but, want one that is not broken. Update: 11/6/2022 Received the replacement box today. Was in good condition. Easy to install. Appear very solid, even though made of plastic. Note from the attached picture they do not fit flush to the wall of the truck, but, stick out quite a bit.
