It would have been nice to have the proper wrench & hex wrench sizes included in the screw & bolt package. It took me longer to obtain proper fitting tools for the bolts than it did to put it together. It's an easy assembly with proper tools. I like the lightweight aluminum frame which attaches to a sturdy steel base which fit perfectly into my 2" receiver. The pin is large and sturdy to connect base to my truck receiver. I'm an older single lady and so the carrier's lightweight is important to me since I must lift it alone. It is still plenty sturdy to carry my trash cans, yard debris, coolers etc. I like the 8" high sides for support and I bought a cover net which attaches easily. I store it in my truck and it keeps items enclosed at rear tailgate within easy reach when not in use. The extra width 22.5" versus 19.5" of most carriers makes it a better choice for my needs. I've used this several times now and so far it seems to be well built with good welds. It is very light and easy to use. I have a small generator on it, about 100 lbs, and so far so good.

I was skeptical about this thing being built out of aluminum and being able to hold 500 lbs. Granted, I'm not using it as intended - primarily, I have it mounted to the back of my tractor to carry feed bags to the barn. I'm not driving highway speeds, but I do have it loaded down with 500 lbs of feed. Package arrived a little banged up. A couple of the vertical pieces were slightly bent - but it's aluminum, easy to bend back into place. Assembly was a breeze - just a little time consuming because there are so many bolts. You'll want to have yourself a set of metric allen wrenches - none came with the package. It's lightweight, and so far, a lot sturdier than what it feels like. ... show more

It did not take long for me to assemble, but you do need some tools put it together. Once it's assemble, I like how sturdy it feels and how light it is to carry behind the car (or in and out of the garage). I'll soon find out how road-worthy this carrier is. I have severe low back problems & am unable to lift much weight so this carry all was GREAT! I put it together in a short time in my living rm (COLD outside). I was able to get 9 bags of kitchen trash on it, used my old grill cover (because I bought a new one) to cover the trash & used bungee cords to secure it. Just add reflective tape. Got it assembled (easy) and took it for a spin. Not the products fault, but on my Honda it’s low, so a guy in a truck ran into it, damaging it. He probably not paying attention. Still working but I went home and ordered reflective tape. It is strong
