I’m so glad I never purchased a different hair straightener. In under 10 mins, I was able to semi straighten my thick puffy hair! It is literally a time saving miracle. Sectioning my hair and straightening it with my babyliss titanium straightener was literally a pain in the butt I didn’t look forward to and it would take me 30-40 mins (doing an OK job). The iron quality is great, and it heats up so fast! I love that it shows the temperature. It works well. It won’t leave it pin straight, but that’s ok. My goal is always just to have it at least maintained and not so puffy looking! And if I can get that in under 10 mins (around 8-9 mins uninterrupted, yes I timed it!) then even better. I now look forward now to having straight hair because it’s so easy literally just brush! My picture doesn’t do it justice, I have black hair and it’s over a black shirt. I also didn’t include a before and after on both sides, but trust me that it is worth it!! I have over-processed, dry, coarse, thick, naturally wavy hair and have used every sort of straightener from high-end brands costing hundreds to drug store brands and nothing has worked so fast AND so easily as this! It gets super hot and works on the first pass through. It used to take me over an hour to straighten my frizzy hair and now I can do all of it in about 15-20 minutes. I have really bad arthritis in both hands and clamping a straightener tight is hard but this makes it super easy. There is no clamping or holding it shut, just comb through and go. I use a little heat defense in my hair and it turns out soft, shiny and looks the best it ever has! I only wish I tried it sooner and didn't wait so long. ... show more

Works great for my daughter’s hair. She has natural thick hair. Not permed. I use a hot comb to get close to her edges my grandmother taught me but this gives my daughter a lot of confidence in not being burnt meaning feeling the heat. It has different levels of heat settings. I’m a fan!

Its a great straightener except this one problem I came across. The issue I'm having is my hair gets snagged in between the individual heat plates and the protective pieces around it. I have course curly hair. I use a Dyson blow dryer and expensive flat irons and curling irons with lots of product to straighten my hair. So, yeah - think an hour or so. I saw this on TikTok (and was not impressed by the seller who was foul and ridiculous) so started looking for reviews on line. I found it on Amazon and figured it was worth a try because of the Prime return policy. I did not expect it to work if I'm honest. But, let me tell you - I am BLOWN AWAY by how smooth it gets my hair with one pass and minimal product. I literally only use Kerastase L'incroyable blowdry lotion, blow dry my hair (and don't need to round brush it), and then use this TYMO straightening brush to get soft, volumized, straight hair. I wish I wasn't so technologically challenged so I could upload before and after pics. You will just have to take my word that it works better than any flat iron I've ever tried and my hair does NOT need to be blown dry straight first either. I don't know how it does it, but it can take even my curly hair and make it straight with one pass. Now, that might pull my hair some - not going to lie - so I usually blow dry it with a paddle brush first. I just take my hair (not too much) and firmly pull the TYMO through it. Voila! Straight but with volume too. My poor 8th grader self is wishing she'd had this in 1981 that's for sure. So if you are on the fence - do it. Picture with the heart is my natural hair texture. The one without the heart is my hair after using the TYMO Ionic Hair Straightener Brush. The brush heats up quickly. I have to use the highest setting of 450°. I would definitely use a heat protectant on your hair. Hair pull is minimal. I like how the smooth surface of the brush is designed. I have very thick wavy hai that goes down to my lower back. Before this I would rarely straighten my hair because it took too long. But now I straighten it once or twice a week. So easy, so fast and my hair looks very smooth and straight. It fits very well in my hand and takes a couple minutes to heat up.
