The fan connector doesn’t come with the required 12VDC power supply or any sort of filtration system. Will need to buy a two pin 12VDC power supply and possibly a small in line roller or rocker switch to pit on the cord so you don’t have to unplug each time you stop. I have not yet found a small filtration box or canister that fits the 3 inch diameter hose. ... show more

I gave the product 5 stars because I think it's probably good quality and the seller shouldn't suffer for Amazon's screw up. item was packaged well and all the parts were there. The quality of materials looked good, too. Nothing seemed to be amiss until I got ready to plug it in and discovered it had a European plug on the power cord. I see it was fulfilled by Amazon so, I'm assuming it was improperly picked by an Amazon employee. I'm curious why an Amazon warehouse in the US would even have products intended for the European continent, since I know Amazon has warehouses in Europe. It’s a huge enclosure. Had it for only a few weeks. I was cutting acrylic sheet a piece fell at a angle on cookie grill which stopped the laser started a fire an burnt down my Ortur laser master 2. The windows melted, kept the fire contained, and didn’t burn the house down.

There is no power supply for the fan or even a part number for one . Also there is no collar for the exhaust out . This is smaller than a dryer vent

    • Sorta works but not without a bit of finagling

I don't have a work room or garage i can use my laser engraver in so my dining room table has become the temp workshop. The smell from the laser burning is pretty strong and can fill up the entire house for days. I got this hoping it could either eliminate or cut down on the smells and smoke. Unpacking this I thought wow, nice sturdy metal and seems built well. Then the instructions.....just toss them in the recycle because they don't tell you anything. When you take the main unit out of the box, make sure you take the plastic off the heap filter as well as disregard the white filter pads. The instructions don't tell you to do this but if you leave them (2) in with the filter, it WON"T work. You'll have to unscrew the entire thing again to remove the filter pads and also the screws and way this closes is up is a bit wonky. You have to squeeze and hold the sides to line up with the screw holes which was a pain in the tush. Also there is a rubber mouth that doesn't fit into the tube so i'm not sure what to do with it. its way too big for the inside of the tube but too small to stretch it outside. However, the hose is very possible and did do what i needed. But once you get it all setup and plugged in you'll need to finagle it to fit your needs. I have a laserpecker2 with the amber fan mount so i was able to stick the hose right up against the fan base. It did help cut down on the overall smoke and smell but the fan isn't strong enough to pull the air in fast enough. So it does cut down maybe 50% of the smoke and smell. i'll take that for now. Plus its got a small size footprint so its easy to use and fit on table etc. ... show more

I'm giving 5 stars for the roller model as it is well built and due to the modular setup, it can work with various objects. The instrucion manual on the otherhand, with it's blurry diagrams and not enough content, wasn't so great. I didn't have too much trouble assembling it, but I can easily see someone getting frustrated or having issues with it. That being said, the module was complete and everything was packed safely. The part with the suction cup and the "bearing roller component" are tucked down into the foam packaging and can be easily missed. The rotary chuck, which was the main feature I picked this up for, has step and L grips and also stainless steel shafts you can use if you want to engrave a ring. This also comes with a long enough cable to work with any laser cutter setup, as well as a pair of 6 to 4 pin adapters. I was able to just plug this right into my diode laser's 4 pin rotary port. It also plugs right into my K40's y-axis port, but it's much to large and tall to use inside that laser without modifying the case. The only thing I didn't like about this, and it's an easy fix, is that it's a pain to secure the piece with the suction cup once you've adjusted the distance. You can only get 1/2 turn with the hex key. It would be better with a socket cap screw so that you can manually thread the screw most of the way with your fingers. ... show more
