Every summer we have a family reunion and we are always looking for fun games and activities for the kids so I thought this Tug of War rope would be great fun. This is a 20 ft rope so I don’t think you could have many adults on a team, it’s probably suitable for three, maybe four kids on each side. Lots of little extras are included in the box although not top quality- my starter flag was broken but I am sure I can find a replacement. Also included in the package is a whistle, a boundary line with stakes, a ribbon for the middle of the rope and 10 winners metals. The rope is a bright colored cotton, it’s very soft and Consile of 3 braids, red, yellow and blue. There are knots at the end and a nice bag to carry all the pieces. This rope can unravel fairly easily if the knots some out, it would be nice if they waxed the ends to prevent this, I may have to do this myself at some point All in all, this tug of war game is fairly priced and looks like a fun activity for a kids party or a reunion. Hope it holds up for several tug of war games at our future yearly reunions. ... show more

This tug of war kit comes with a long rope, a red ribbon to hang on the rope, two stakes and a red middle marker strip, a yellow whistle, a red and white checkered start flag and a bag of 10 dual sided plastic winner medals that hang around the neck. One side of the medals says "Winner" and the other side has a star. I did the tug of war activity with a group of children and was very pleased at how soft the rope was on hands. All the children had a lot of fun! I recommend doing the pull on a soft surface and not hard ground as kids will inevitably fall down. Both ends of the rope were knotted with the very ends taped to prevent unraveling, but the tape wasn't that strong, so I will probably reinforce some to ensure it doesn't unravel. One improvement would be to include two sets of middle marker strips instead of one, because it's really easy to pull the rope to either side of the strip within seconds and win the pull, but would be better if there were a range of area they had to pass on either side before winning the tug of war. We will add our own additional strip. Great rope for children! It will work for adults with light to moderate occasional use, but I foresee it could wear out easily with heavy adult use. ... show more

I ordered the GULYMNA tug of war rope for kids and adults as a family Christmas gift. We messed around with it at our family Christmas party and everyone is excited for summer when we can give it a true test at our cabin. The rope appears to be heavy duty nylon though the description says cotton. and as indicated in the description it is 20 feet long and very brightly colored in red, yellow and blue. It comes with a storage bag, a center marking line with two small stakes to secure the line, a whistle, a flag to start the contest, and 10 game prizes (plastic medals on ribbons). First of all, my baby absolutely loves this rope. He keeps dragging it all over the house and has even figured out how to string it through things. It's adorable! I was really impressed when we got this rope at how soft it is. Yes, it's strudy, yes it will do its job well. But it's also delightful to hold and the colors are vibrant and beautiful. We haven't used it much for tug-a-war yet since it's cold outside. But it has been used for all manner of other things, from fort-making to "costume" accessories. There are so many things that kids can come up with to do with rope. It might as well be attractive and soft! I love this rope. The included medals are a nice touch, as is the stakes and strap you can put down to be the middle mark for those doing a tug-of-war. It's great! An easy 5* ... show more
