We got this swing set as an early Christmas gift for our kids. It took my husband and I one whole day to build it. Sun up to sun down while being interrupted by 3 kids every 5 minutes. It took almost 2 weeks to get delivered but I think that was because they needed to schedule a time for a delivery company to deliver it. I had to be here for the delivery. Our swing set came in one huge box. It was probably 7 feet by 4 feet and about 1 foot tall. Delivery driver said it was 400 pounds. Upon opening it, it was broken down into 7 smaller boxes and the 2 slides. So we just moved those boxes to our desired building area. The boxes were not organized at all. We had to break open the first 3 boxes just to get all the pieces for the first 2 pages alone. The screws were labeled horribly!! We had to measure pretty much every screw before we used it. The wood was labeled ok. A little faint but I managed fine. We had to measure and drill some of our own holes as well so that took more time. Over all it wasn’t too terrible of a build. I pretty much organized everything and got all the pieces that we needed for each page of instruction while my husband put it together. The kids are very happy with the build. We did have a bunch of extra screws and 6 xtra pieces of wood. We were short one slide spike. ... show more

    • Nightmare to build.

I'll start by saying that my kids love the playset and that is really what matters so I won't give this a super low review. However, building this thing SUCKED!!! Now I like to build things usually, and the directions weren't overly complicated to follow, but NONE of the hardware was labeled coherently. You needed to use multiple size screws and none of them were labeled and what's more, is that they packaged different size screws in the same bags all with no labels whatsoever. I think half of my time building this thig was searching for the correct hardware and hand measuring each screw or bolt to make sure we were using the right stuff. Just really poorly thought out. They should package each size screw separately and label them all with the actual size and type that they are. Also the cedar wood is very soft and chips and cracks easy on the smaller boards or the corners of the support beams. Support beams are strong and sturdy though and overall it is nice. I need to do some sanding in areas and some wood glue touch-ups in areas where we had some larger chips come off. I'll have to see how well it holds up to the elements as well. Also both slides were supposed to come with a stake and we only had the 1 stake for the big slide so now I have to figure out how to stake the second slide. ... show more

For something that’s over $1,000 you would THINK you would have all the parts we’ve had to stop building because we are missing so much. We’re missing all swings, chalkboard, the rock wall, the anchors, and SO MUCH MORE.

Hello, single mom of 4 here. I put this together all by myself! Here are some tips I wish I would have done. This will save you a lot of time. Open ALL the boxes, sort all the logs by size and by what holes are drilled in them, Get bowls or baggies to separate all your screws and bolts, label the sizes! Se bags come with multiple sizes in them so it'll save you time just to organize everything before you start! Once you have every laid out and organized assbly will be easy! It would have saved me a lot of time if I would have opened all box at first instead of each box at a time. I recommend having 2 people assemble this if you can. It is very difficult by yourself. But I am go doer and can do a lot by myself. Plus no to help so there's that too. You won't regret buying this! I havealways wanted one of these as a kid and never got one so now my kids have one and we all can enjoy it! ... show more

first off, the kids love it. We have a 2 and 10 year old boys. This was more for the 2yo but the 10yo has enjoyed it also. The playground is sturdier than i was expecting. i climbed all over it during assembly. i am about 190# and everything held up just fine. originally, we were gonna make our own but slides are expensive by themselves and it was more cost effective to buy a bundled package. Some of the structure is smaller than i would have made it out of but holds up well. it took me and my 10yo (2) weekends to put together working most of the day on saturday and sunday afternoons. The system fit together nicely and the instruction booklet was awesome with giving the part # for the pieces and also a to-scale image of the hardware required. my wife would come and help some as well; this was very helpful with getting the roof on the system since my 10yo couldnt really help lift. We used (2) drill motors and (1) impact wrench to help speed up the process. issues: The hardware was some of the issue that we had. several bags of hardware didnt have the deck screws segregated by size and you would have all different sizes mixed together which was annoying when trying to get the correct screws installed. Some of the hardware was missing and had to make a trip to Lowe's; all out $10 for the stuff missing, which isnt so bad when you think of how many pieces are coming. overall, very pleased with product so far. if anything changes, i will update the review. My great grand daughter is loving it. Was missing many of the hardware. Didn't contact company for replacement. Just went to local hardware and bought it. One board short to, but we made one. Ended up with 6 extra boards that aren't even listed for this playground. Yes, I would buy again but will be prepared to go to hardware store. ... show more
