For such a little guy, it definitely heats up quick. This heater is amazing. Makes some noise when the fan kicks on, not loud though. Very sturdy. Works great in my garage. Highly recommend.

2024-09-05. Greenhouse heater by TRUSTECH. Thermostat. Space heater. 3 Modes. Fast heat. PTC. Overheat protection. 90° tilt. 1500W. Portable. Black/Orange. This heater by TRUSTECH is you old school heater with more efficient heating technology. TRUSTECH uses just one acronym which is PTC. PTC stands for Positive Temperature Coefficient. It's a technology used to generate heat. PTC heaters use conductors made of variable resistor materials. When electricity passes through these conductors, they create resistance, become hot, and generate heat in the surrounding area. The more electricity that is passed through them, the hotter they get. This is the same technology being employed in many Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV's) today. PTC heaters are very efficient at generating heat as they consume very little energy when compared to traditional heaters. Another great thing about PTC heaters is the "ptc effect". Because PTC heaters generate heat in the surrounding area, they never reach temperatures high enough to cause combustion or fires making them not only efficient, but very safe as well. I also want to point out the that this little unit is a power hog. Wait, whut? Didn't you just say it's energy efficient? Well yes, but it's not the heating that's consuming the power, it's the blower motor or fan. This unit advertises 1500W. Wattage is a unit of power in terms of energy consumption, not potency of efficacy. Volts × Amps = Watts. There are three fan settings on this unit, and between power the PTC heater and the fan, it can consume 750W (low fan) or 1500W (high fan). The fan is rated for 120V which is the voltage of wall receptacles in North America. Doing the math 1500W ÷ 120V = 12.5A. Most wall receptacles are rated at 15A, so if you're using this, make sure you don't have some other power hungry device plugged into the same wall receptacle otherwise you're trip the circuit breaker. Aside from the three fan settings, there is also a gradient heat dial. The dial doesn't really indicate temperature, and I wish that they did, but the amount of heat is continuously variable, so you can tweak it in small increments. The power cord is NOT grounded and only measures 6 ½ feet in length. This is quite short in my opinion, especially if you do plan on using it in a greenhouse. The cord is also loose, and they could have built a cord wrap into the unit for tidy storage. Speaking of storage, the unit also doesn't come with any type of storage case or storage bag. Functionally, the unit is very effective at what it does. It does heat up quickly and I love the 90° tilt. The "analog" dials make this unit "old school", and many may prefer it as there's no worry about faulty software or burnt out displays. The short cord and the lack of temperature reference is the biggest drawbacks of this unit, but it takes nothing away from it's simplicity and functionality. ... show more

I'm awful about looking at what the size of something is going to be. I thought this would be a very much larger heater. I opened to box and thought, "well, I'll be returning this!" But after trying it in the (not insulated) garage on a night in the low 40s, I'm sold! Looks like a keeper instead!! Very pleased ... show more
