I think the best feature of this device is the weight. It's not going to go blowing away outdoors and falling off the table if bumped. The flame is reasonable depending on your fuel source. It's a good burner. Ceramic body looks nice and metal containers are okay. Instruction to use is clear. Only thing I really don't like is the metal finish. It looks nice but the edges are really sharp. Edges are not polished at all. If you aren't be careful, it will cut your finger.

These alcohol "firepits" are pretty cool and work really well. Especially the ones with wicks like this one. From a fuel cup full of rubbing alcohol you can expect about an hours worth of flame. It burns with no smoke whatsoever. This particular burner is thick enough on the bottom that you'd probably be fine just putting it on the counter, but I still put a hot pad underneath it. Everyone who sees it is amazed, so this will be a go-to Christmas gift this year! Comes with a flame snuffer which makes extinguishing the flame easy. When I received this, I was surprised at the weight of the product. It appears to be made very well. It is ceramic and has a smooth and pleasing (stylish) look to it. One of the first things I noticed when I opened the box is how well it was packaged. It comes snuggled in a pre-formed foam mold that appears to give it a lot of protection from those not-so-caring delivery personnel. I bought this for outdoor use and given the time of year, I won't be using it for several months yet. BUT, using it would really only be testing the fuel used and not necessarily this product. I have no doubt that this will work just fine when lit. The metal inner cups that hold the fuel and design of the ceramic outer frame, should keep this cool to the touch. It has a nice lid for snuffing out the flame. I think a nice touch would have been to have a small silicone finger grip on the end of the snuffer handle, but overall, this is a nice addition to our outdoor ambiance. ... show more

It is exactly as described, it's small enough for the little space I'll be using it in and comes with the wick and extinguisher. Unfortunately the rubbing alcohol I have is not the kind needed, calls for 70%-90%. I only have 40%. Once I get to the store, I'll buy the right one and test the indoor, table top fire pit out. And update my review if I need to. ... show more

Order this as a gift for my office white elephant exchange. It looks very nice especially at this price point and I assume will be the hit of the party. We have a couple of table top fire pits ourself and have given them in the past as gifts. They burn easily and cleanly using alcohol as fuel. We have not tried the ethanol yet.     • Nicely weighted and feels durable for years of use.
Makes for a nice accent fire on the patio. Feels like it will hold up to years of use. You probably could cook marshmallows over it, but that could get messy so you may not want to do that! Overall it's nice to have in places where a larger firepit wouldn't work.

We have used this a number of times already and are very pleased. The heavy ceramic outer portion is great looking and its heavy weight keeps this tabletop firepit stable with no fear of tipping.
