  • Great album.
These Brits never disappoint. They are hard to define and that's what makes them so good. I own all their albums and this is as good as the rest.

  • Keeping rock alive
I don’t buy much music these days. I’m 61 and have been listening to rock since the late 60s/early 70s and most of what I do hear and discover now is on streaming. I recently discovered Amplifier that way and I’ve got to say this band and album are impressive. Honestly, I didn’t know anyone was still making music this good anymore. Song for song, it’s as solid a rock and roll record that I’ve heard in many years. It’s the type of album that when you’re listening to it, you think to yourself, “Why isn’t everyone listening to this music?!” So, if you’re in my age range and have nearly lost faith in new musical directions happening again like the good ole days of 40-something years ago, check out “Trippin’ With Dr. Faustus”. You might be surprised what you’ve been missing. ... show more

If you like this band I'd suggest listening to this first before buying it. I wish I had. Very disappointed.

  • Must Have
Anyone not listening to this is missing quite a bit. If your a fan of good rock and roll ( Porcupine Tree, Black Sabbath, Pink Floyd etc) you will find this refreshing and accessible in every way. I highly recommend the first album Amplifier (2004 ) and Record (2017) and everything in between... as supplementary listening. Don’t miss out! these guys have been doing this great stuff since 1999. And are the real deal.” The Octopus” is the Ultimate Beamoth. As Sel so well put it. ... show more
