This is like buying insurance, it may not be work a red cent but you don't know until you file a claim. This product installed well and looks great but if there is no power surge to test it how would I know whether it works or not? Im rating it on faith.

    • This can be installed either side of disconnect
It appears from the product photo that it is a right side install only, which sometimes does not work with a right side lever on a disconnect. This can actually be mounted either side as the print and the indicating light are the same.

HVAC units are expensive to buy and service - and manufacturers make it easy to void their warranties. Service providers who come in the do maintence (where I live) seem to be more of a salesperson than a HVAC tech. Lucky for me - after vending off my regular HVAC 'maintence'/'sales' person - I found a honest one and he installed it for $100. We also get a ton of lightning strikes around here.
