My testing reveiw: I have it in line with my PC with 620G XHD, my CAVS DVD 105G-multi/CDG/USB-XHD/MPEG4/HDCD player, my Gemini MM-3000 3 mic/5 channel Mixer, and my Gemini PA-7000 PreAmp, driving two 15" KCH subs, four 8" mids, and two 8" singers floor monitors. So far I haven't turned the PreAmp OR the Amp up more than 1 o'clock and I AM GETTING SOME SERIOUS BIG AWESOME CLEAR SOUND WITH ALMOST NO DISTORTION. This is with it set up with a balanced 8 ohms per speaker setup side, so that's the lowest power setting of 150 rms. Of course I don't want to push it. For another $170 (or less)I plan to get another for output B on my PreAmp, for speaker upgrades to larger venues. That'a my review. Sound quality is good, there's limited noise/static, and plenty of power. The fans are definitely not temperature controlled and just run at 100% all the time. Unless this is going in a closet backstage you're going to want to swap the fans. The ones that come with this can't be in the same room as your speakers. ... show more

Lets begin with the most obvious... the fans are loud... how loud? think of an F-14 taking off from aircraft carrier deck loud. Useless if you want to listen to music in a quiet environment; louder than my loudest gaming PC... The 2000 W rating is probably in the miracle land, I think this is more like 100W RMS... maybe China watts? So, I tried to use the amp to play some clean guitar sounds, from music CDs... but oh boy... the classical guitarist sounded like he was playing through some distortion pedal added to their nylon string guitar... and this happened at any volume, and the audio signal is coming from a Behringer Xenyth 1204USB mixer, straight with XLR and no clipping or anything. This is into a couple of 8" Pyle 2 way speakers... At max volume its not much louder than my x2 100W channel stereo receiver, which on the same speakers they are crystal clean... So, do yourself a favor and buy a x2 100W stereo home receiver, it will blow this turd away. ... show more

The positives: * I have owned over 10 amps so far. * This unit is by far is the best to date. * Sound quality is superb * Low noise though system at idle (very important) * Matched to the correct speakers, it will ROCK OUT *I now rock 2 Gemini amps, *I will say adding a proper EQ really adds quality. -However don't go cheap! I purchased Rockville EQ's and it was a waste. They produced a hum at idle that drove me nuts. Now running all DBX EQ units. Far superior! ----the negatives: * I purchased this to replace a similar wattage unit, should have done it sooner * The weight of the unit, but what do you expect form a pro amp? * Does not fit well in a standard rack setup. I wanted it on the bottom due to its larger size, however the way the rack ears are required it to be the higher amp in the lower case. Not a big deal, just a little thing * biggest negative is you don't have one! ... show more

The power amp works, but it's very loud. I used it to power a 15" PA speaker and even at high volume I could still hear the fans running on the amp. If it weren't for the fan noise, this would be a really nice power amp for home use. I like that it has xlr and 1/4" inputs, and it can be bridged for the output if need be. If price is an issue, this is very affordable. ... show more

My other amp lost sound on one side so I had to quick replace it. Wasn't sure about this amp Yes it's certainly not expensive, but it worked flawlessly. I just do very small gigs so I didn't need anything fancy. This does exactly what I need.
