Not only is it compact and lightweight, but with three speeds you can have a soft breeze or a cool wind in your hair. This fan works great! It has 3 settings and blows hard. It is a little louder than I expected on the highest level but not obnoxious loud. I was still able to sleep with it on high. It did not come with a wall connector so you need to find a box if you want to connect this to a wall outlet. When this fan arrived a couple days ago, I took one look at the tiny box that was light as a feather and I almost sent it right back to Amazon unopened. I needed to replace a travel fan that had failed me in a short time that was several times as large and many times as heavy. Not only did that fan weigh a lot, it didn't move much air. So I thought forget about it .. this thing is going back . But my wife convinced me to give it a shot an I've never been so surprised. This tiny fan moves are as if it was 16" not 6". I thought maybe if it could blow on my face it would be adequate but I can set it on the other side of the room and still feel it. It has 3 speeds, all of which move much more air than my previous travel fan .. the top speed is actually too much!! It's also so quiet you can't here it at all other than on the highest speed. This is a game changer for travel where weight and size are critical. I can even run it off my little battery backup for around 4 hrs. Also, most modern hotel rooms have mostly USBs now and fewer AC plugs so it's more compatible .. speaking of compatibility, since it's USB, it can function on foreign 220v systems because USB is USB everywhere and voltage doesn't matter. I'm hoping it lasts well but it's cheap enough that if I have to replace it after a few trips, no problem. Right now, I'm sitting in my comfy chair with this fan blowing on me as it has also replaced my home fan. I couldn't recommend it more highly. ... show more

This little fan works great! I've installed a couple in my trailer (for boondocking, when I don't have A/C), and they move more air than I thought they would. Max (realistic) distance that you're really going to feel air movement is 6 or 8 feet, which is fine where I have them. Low electrical draw, you can leave them running for a while and they don't heat up. Small and low-profile. I drilled a single hole in the base and mounted it so you can turn the base and/or swivel the head, and it'll point just about any direction. Good value. ... show more

Got a 2 pack, one for my bedroom and my sons. For as small as they are, they sure do make a room cooler.( Standard sized bedrooms. ) We even move them to the kitchen in our small apartment & living room still do a great job. Lots of power in these . Buying another 2 pack so we can just keep one In each room. I run mine pointing on me at night at the highest speed and I stay comfortable and cool all night . We live in a high & dry climate state. So these are great alternative to buying something huge and overpriced. Definitely worth the purchase. Good quality made, it’s a usb port only , which is nice , makes it very portable. They will not run unless you have them plugged in. ... show more
