Description

The mighty Titan 12-turn 550 modified motor propels the Rustler to speeds over 35mph. The Titan's integrated cooling fan pulls air through the motor for faster speeds, longer runtime, and extended motor life. The waterproof XL-5 electronic speed control harnesses the power of the Titan 12T motor and makes the Rustler as fast as it looks. Ez-set one- button setup easily adjusts or changes profiles. Traxxas' exclusive patented training mode profile cuts power output in half and leaves the brakes at full strength for young or first time drivers who want to learn the ropes before unleashing full power. The TQ 2.4GHz radio system's ergonomic design is comfortable for all-day driving and its internal antenna is impervious to damage. what ilime is its fast and durable and very strong for rough driving. The only negative is that it says on the box is its READY TO RACE but the battery and charger aren't included in the package. If its ready to race then the battery and charger need to be included because you have to wait for the battery and the battery charger to arrive in order to enjoy the vehicle. Before you make your decision to purchase read the product features and details it will state that the battery and charger is sold separately. ... show more

Bought this car for my son for his 11th birthday. He had some other toy cars that wore out in a couple of months or less, so we got him this pro model. It is fast (not the fastest he tells me, but for an 11 year old kid it is plenty fast enough - maybe 35 mph?) The controller is very nice and the car can really be controlled very precisely. This is really NOT a kids toy, though, it is a hobby car. It has enough power to destroy itself if crashed or if it hits something wrong. Its speed and light weigh allows it to catch air of of even small bumps, and herein lies the problem. Parts are constantly breaking on this thing. Mostly suspension and axle parts wear out or break. He has replaced the back tires. Inside of 9 months owing the car he has spent more than the original purchase price on parts. Often it has sat useless for months while he saves his allowance to purchase the next part he needs to make it roadworthy again. I would not recommend this car for a kid unless they have a steady income stream, or unless you are willing to spring for parts every time something breaks. ... show more

Very easy to use and durable. My 2 sons 9 and 13 use it with ease. I can't count how many times they flipped it without so much as a scratch. They (ok me too) have crashed it into the curb in our street with no damage and my son actually ran completely over it with his bike and no damage. It is fast easy to drive and a lot of fun. I would suggest getting an extra battery. I would also suggest getting a wheelie bar is your kids are going to use it. This will prevent it from flipping when the gun it it from a dead start. ... show more

Traxxas is a stand up company. I initially left a bad review but have changed it after they sent me new rear shocks that blew after 5 minutes. Apparently this is common in RCing but heck Im new. EIther way, thanks Traxxas for helping an 11 year old out. You guys are awesome in my book. Oh and the RC rustler abssolutely RIPS. Buying another one to play with by boy... ... show more
